If it’s a matter of saving someone from physical harm, then stepping in is the right thing to do. When someone is bullying/abusing another with words, it’s a judgement call. Women who repeatedly tolerate verbal abuse from anyone let alone their boyfriend - demonstrate a lack of self-respect and self-love. The same is true for men who allow themselves to be verbally abused by their so-called girlfriend. People with these shortcoming need Jesus, who through His Word and Holy Spirit will give a person wisdom and discernment in handling relationships.
