Minnesota dad uses moose antler to slaughter 77-year-old sex offender he claims was stalking daughter - before turning himself in to police station 'covered in blood'

A Minnesota father slaughtered a 77-year-old convicted sex offender using a moose antler and shovel after he accused the victim of stalking his young daughter.

Levi Axtell, 27, walked into at the sheriff's office covered in blood and with his head in his hands as he admitted killing Lawrence Scully - who was jailed for molesting a six-year-old girl in 1979.

Axtell, from Cook County, Minnesota, had long been suspicious of Scully parking his vehicle at locations where children were present.

In 2018 Axtell filed an order of protection against the elderly man which was initially granted but later dropped.

Court records also show Scully was committed to a mental institution in 2020 but was later released and prescribed anti-psychotic drugs

A criminal complaint filed on Friday said Axtell repeatedly struck Scully with a shovel in his own apartment before 'finishing him off' with a large moose antler. At some point he is also believed to have smashed Scully's vehicle.

A criminal complaint states Axtell entered Scully's home at around 4.45pm and struck him 15-20 times with a shovel he had found on the victim's deck.

Axtell told officers he finished the job with a large moose antler, according to the complaint.

'Defendant said he had known (Scully) for a long time, and believed him to have sexually offended against children in the past,' it states.

'Defendant said he had observed (Scully) parked in his vehicle at locations where children were present and believed he would re-offend.'

A Cook County sheriff's deputy entered the property around 5pm on Wednesday and found Scully with 'major head trauma and surrounded by blood,' adding he was 'obviously dead.'

The father had walked into the police station covered in blood and with his head in his hands as he confessed to the killing.

When “Braveheart” first came out, I laughed because The Wallace took out an Anglo with a piece of broken stag antler.
Went and looked it up and after the Sassenachs took away all the Scots’ weapons, they used whatever they had at hand.
It must be genetically programmed or something because I had the antler “keychains” *long* before I ever saw Braveheart.
I lost my best/favorite one in the house fire months ago but I’ve finally found a suitable replacement and feel like me again.

I wish you could have seen the “cleaners” faces when they carted my collection of Stabby Things out for the public adjusters to list as personal items to pay on.

/most of my knives and swords survived and they didn’t even see what was stashed in the living room or bedroom

"Defendant said he had observed (Scully) parked in his vehicle at locations where children were present and believed he would re-offend."

Well, no chance of that now!

Unfortunately, sounds like the dad killed the perv inside the perv’s home. Those are bad facts for the dad.

No winners here.”

No thoughts also. Sad situation.

No wolf around here at the moment. Hog eat everything. I’ve seen nothing left by wolf as well up in Wyoming and Idaho. A friend had a Llama disapeared by a wolf pack.

There was a video with a yote chewing on a snowshoe and a pack of wolf caught him. Nothing left except a few drops of blood. Wolf are hungry.

Check out Steve Isdahl’s site. He’s a wolf killer in Canada.

The father killed Aqualung with a shovel and a moose antler?

Ian Anderson never thought of that one...

This feels wrong. 77 and he didn’t really do anything new it seems. Just some crazy violent guy finding out about his past and thinking he could get the thrill of committing an excused murder against a helpless old man. I say he deserves to rot in jail.
