House intelligence committee member warns people not to share health data with sites like 23andMe because it can be used to program new bio-weapons to target them

A member of the U.S. House Intelligence Committee warned that bio-weapons are being made that use a target's DNA to only kill that person.

Speaking at the Aspen Security Forum on Friday, US Rep Jason Crow of Colorado warned Americans to not be so cavalier about sharing their DNA with private companies due to the coming of the new type of weapon

Earlier this week the Washington Examiner reported on just how easy it could be for privately-owned databases to be used to develop bioweapons such as the ones touted by Crow.

The publication explained how DNA belonging to a target - or the close relative of a target - could be stolen and used to form a biological weapon effective against that person only.

That technology could lead to highly-targeted assassination programs, and also make it much harder for killers to be tracked down.

Similar technology could be deployed against US agriculture by designing weapons which target only a certain breed of farm animal, or crop.

That could plunge the country into famine, and leave the US on its knees in the face of hostilities from a rival

Army General Richard Clark, commander of US Special Operations Command, highlighted how Russia had already shot to infamy with a less-sophisticated version of the same scheme.

Discussing the nerve agent poisoning of former double agent Sergei Skripal in England in 2018, he said: 'Russia is willing to use those against political opponents.

'And I don't think we talk about it as much as we should and look for methods to continue to combat.'

Skripal and his daughter Yulia were poisoned with nerve agent Novichok in the English town of Salisbury, and almost died from their injuries. Britain's then-Prime Minister Theresa May blamed Russia for the outrage days later.

I got my first computer in 1998 and way back then there were cautionary notes about sharing information on line.

I know I took it seriously and have never been hacked or ID stolen, so . . . what are they feeding our "modern" cyber hip kids that someone actually thinks they need to make an official warning ?

Oh . . . yeah . . . TIDE pods n'at.

Good ole Democrat projection.
If we could target people that closely,
there would not be many LGBTQ++ left on Earth.
Moslems have a thing for them.

There is a lot of near redundancy in humans.

It is hard to beat cancer (or specifically kill me).

“designing weapons which target only a certain breed of farm animal, or crop”

In Florida my area is overwhelmed with rabbits.

The mosquitos are more vicious than in any other of the 28 years I’ve lived here.

Couldn’t they use sibling data to do the same?

Mosquitos should be eradicated. Unlike ants or flies, they serve no useful purpose, other than food for frogs, which I would also happily do without for the cause.

Jason Crow needs to grow up and more courageous. 23 and Me has done a ton of good for many seriously ill people. Becoming fearful of a bioweapon tailored to an individual’s genetic profile is, well, a sign of too much free time. After all, it is too expensive to create bioweapons tailored to more than ten individuals. Much cheaper to make one bioweapon to wipe out a million people. The Lord is watching and waiting for people to invite Him into the discussion of world politics.

It’s probably a lot more likely that all of that genetic data will someday be used for a different reason.

I’ve heard the Chinese have been trying to make germs that don’t attack Chinese but will attack others. With the money they can pour into it if it is possible they could make it happen. They already used a custom made Virus to steal our election and Democrats were an important partner in the plot.

food for birds as well. And frogs in turn are food for snakes, barred owls, red and grey foxes, mink, ermine, ducks, anhingas, people, and hosts of other birds like herons and egrets. And mosquito larvae are a vital food source for fisheries, as newly hatched game fish and commercial food fish need tiny larvae dinners just to get started. Mosquito larvae are food for an array of important aquatic insects as well, which in turn are also needed to feed fish, turtles and snakes.

RNA Therapeutics and DNA Editing | Jennifer Doudna (on the WEF youtube channel)

Jennifer Doudna from the University of California, Berkeley, introduces her lab’s groundbreaking work. They found that a protein called Cas9 acts like a precision tool that can be programmed to cut double stranded DNA, repair breaks and correct genetic mutations.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qECgqd6wJb0 (5:25 minutes - Feb 24, 2015)

Seven year old technology. It's faster, cheaper and more accurate today.

Here's a CRISPR Cas9 gene-edited tomato plant(patented) with the upright growth gene targeted to fit Vertical Indoor Farming systems better.

They're using the tech for livestock now. Polled(hornless) cattle. Egg laying hens who have a terminator gene that kills male embryos so that all their offspring are hens. Pigs that no longer get a common pig disease.

The tech is here but some questions remain. Will there be unintended consequences? Long term side effects? Seems like it has so many good uses but like many things, nuclear for instance, it could also be used for bad things. What is the most evil thing on the planet according to the left? White heterosexual males. White males would probably be easy to target gene-wise but heterosexual not so much. But wait, geographic location could be done. White males in flyover states tend to be heterosexual.

Don't forget to get your COVID boosters you evil white heterosexual males in flyover states.
