Painting the CSA states as "united" and all Southerners subscribing to the tenants of the Articles of Secession is not a platform to build your argument from - there are so many more sources, correspondence, records, etc should you choose to investigate. Good luck.

Good grief, I got aquainted with FreeRepublic while taking part in mass street protests in the aftermath of the 2000 Presidential election. I joined online about a year later and stayed active in street activism and counter demonstrations to support our troops against A.N.S.W.E.R. and the nacent jihadist movement through the 04 election. Since then I've taken part in various street actions organized primarily through Move America Forward.
What I'd really like to know is how YOU managed to avoid conservative activism and FreeRepublic for the eight years I've been here prior to your joining?

Blue & Gray Magazine is a pretty main stream publication, and very neutral and objective. I don’t think you will find any articles by Lorenzo in it, though I do give Lorenzo credit for crushing some of te myths regarding Lincoln.
