To: The Republican Party
I am a Christian conservative or social conservative. I am Pro-Life. I vote.
Rudy Giuliani is pro-gay, pro-gun control, and pro-abortion.
For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for Rudy Giuliani for President of the United States under any circumstances.
Senator John McCain has waffled on human cloning, has supported experimentation on human embryos, and has attacked prominent Christian clergy because of the, "evil influence that they exercise." John McCain has said of Pro-Life voters, on a public broadcast radio show, that they are, "otherwise intelligent people who say that that's the only issue that will determine their vote." McCain told the San Francisco Chronicle, "I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade."
For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for John McCain for President of the United States under any circumstances.
Sincerely,
last i checked McCain was pro-life. can you provide a link to back up your claim?
This is what i could dig up
1. Pro life
2. supports the war
3. supported the gay marriage ban in arizona
4. supports israel
i see stuff i dont like like like global warming, intelligent design and amnesty for illegals. Aside from global warming he seems fairly close to Bush
Just amazing and disgusting, huh?
Who are these n00bs?
oops....Duncan
President Ronald W. Reagan was BOTH a LIBERTARIAN (Smaller-Gov) Conservative and a STAUNCH SOCIAL CONSERVATIVE: "Most" freepers forget this fact (either "intentionally" or just from the lapse of Time: I have not)!
Many people in the South ignorantly loathe Mormons, deriding them as "cultists". This from a group of people who still think Bear Bryant is alive and well.
I'm a social conservative, fundamentalist Christian. But, I agree with you 100%. Republican should be seen as Christian-fundamentalist friendly. However, it shouldn't be seen as Christian-fundamentalist party (only).
Newt is intelligent and has philisophical conservative perspective. But he's a wretch: left his wife on her cancer-bed for another woman. Personal ethics, he's a mess. It's too bad because he could have done something otherwise.
There is nothing wrong with a Mormon. I do not understand why anyone would care about religion in a political campaign, I thought we got past that hurdle with John Kennedy, and later with Nixon and his Quaker beliefs.
You're right and the poster is wrong. Not that facts matter to 'some' posters.
I guess they don't mind letting the whole world notice that they don't think things through.
Not necessarily so....I seem to remember "W" came out of left field and was pushed on us with a bum's rush. He won.
Now...if the neocons and the paleocons can get together there might be a winnable candidate....
Great post and WELL SAID!

They don't belong here.
I won't vote for Rudy or McCain in the primaries.
Right. Sign the petition?
Conservatives favor small government. President Reagan was once a democrat. He never had ties to the Libertarians that I know of.
McCain wins republican nom and I'm out. I'll be voting third party. Yea that means Hillary probably wins but that ain't much worse then McCain in my book.
Jury is still out for me on any of the others that may or may not be running.
