WASHINGTON -- Hundreds of gay and lesbian parents hoping to take their families to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll plan to start lining up Friday evening to make sure they get tickets for the Monday event.
Thousands of tickets — an estimated 16,000 last year — are given away on a first-come-first-come basis beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
National Park Service officials said Wednesday that children of all ages may attend as long as there is at least one child 7 years old or younger, and no more than two adults per group.
First lady Laura Bush's office issued a statement saying all families are welcome to attend.

I have no problem with parents of any kind wanting to have their children participate in this tradition. It's the obvious clamor for pushing an agenda that I have a problem with. Take your agendas elsewhere. A WH tradition is not the place to make a political statement (though I'm sure those clamoring to get in think it's the right thing to do).

I think the disapproval on this thread has much more to do with the "gays" wanting to attend this event as "gays" to make their cynical political point, and using their kids as a political prop to disrupt an innocent Easter egg hunt meant for small children.

These homosexuals are SPECIFICALLY attenting to display the fact they play with the sexual organs of members of the same sex for recreation.
I certainly would not take my children to be around a bunch of perverts. Easter service in the morning, then hunting for eggs with homosexuals in the afternoon. The kids may be a little confused about the whole thing.
First solution, you prohibit all political signs or shirts. Thus act up, glsen, pflag or any other homo advocate promotion is out. ALL homosexual references are prohibited as any other sexual content. (IOW same as a tshirt with playboy or hustler on the front) I bet a number would be cleared out by prohibiting sexual predators.
Homosexuals are only at the children's event to promote adult recreational sex.
I would vote for Easter to be given to the queers as the holiday has nothing to do with Jesus. Ironic that non-breeders want to participate in a pagan fertility celebration anyway! Pesach shalom
