C'mon now. Every "obviously stupid" move that Bush makes that seems to "defy all wisdom" is actually a secretly brilliant part of a larger strategy that you will never comprehend. Much like God, Bush should not be questioned. Get with the program!

In case you haven't figured it out, that's not the way our media works anymore...
Ie: The Holy Memo, 22 Indictments, Miners, etc., etc....
Angry reactions make MUCH better TV than old, boring FACTS.....

"I've got news for you. A terrorist who uses a dirty bomb or large chemical or biological weapon to attack a major U.S. city is far more likely to develop such a weapon right here in the United States." Yeah, screw port security. Why should we care about port security being turned over to an Arab muslim state when they can just make their stuff right here in America?

Maybe I am a dim bulb..but this don't seem like
a good thing for the US...? I have gone along with
Bush for years...but this has to be explained in
minute detail to the country...these people like to
kill us and we give them access to our ports?? I
am getting like ..Savage..Savage Nation....what the
hell is going on and why..who, etc?? Jake

Well PD, I profess ignorance - I've been mostly out of the loop this week so need to research before I come to an informed opinion.
On the face of it- it does seem to be a rather wild idea- and for that reason alone- it might not be a wise choice.
It may be difficult for GWB to sell the nation- who will not be paying CLOSE attention- that Arabs should be in charge of our ports. We'll see.

I totally agree .. it was the another example of KR brilliance. Sometimes, I think he lays awake at night plotting the plan, all the actors and scripting their lines .. and they comply ... LOL.

Much like when they didn't do all Arab all the time profiling at airports and W called in Muslims to the White House, I thought he made the wrong decision. I am willing to say I was wrong then, knowing that the decision to divide radical Islamofascists from the run of the mill Muslim who didn't like terrorism was not just a good one, it was a brilliant one. I understood why the president did what he did then
This is different

I'm simply amazed at how many people I thought had a brain have gone off the deep end about this without knowing ONE FACT. You know I have supported President Bush through thick and thin and even supported this transfer simply because it was a business deal, no more, no less and it gave me some comfort to realize some mafia hoods would not be pleased if they had to extort from a fellow whose relatives don't mind chopping off an arm or two rather than a Brit who asks you to tea.
Then It developed that the committee headed by Snow did a rush job since the fix was in. Snow and Sanborn both will profit handsomely from this deal. If Bush doesn't fire the crooked jerks and shake up his brain dead White House Staff and fire Chertoff then I can assure you the Democrats will take back both houses of congress and President Bush will be impeached...and justly so.
If he vetoes a bill obstructing the sale he will be impeached by the current congress...and rightly so.
I am greatly saddened he has so lost touch with reality. Time for rehab.
