Plenty of those around here in FR, both of the panty-waist RINO and the holier-than-thou ultrapurist varieties.

Thanks for posting this article -- saw it this morning from GOPUSA and was hoping someone would post it.

The Democrat candidates all of them are so far left that I cannot even fathom having any of them in office as President.

I suggest writing in Tom Tancredo's name in the primary, just to get the message across about the immigration issue.

Is this not the same poll that in 1984 at approximately this stage of the election year had Mondale beating Reagan?

If so, take heart. When the real poll was taken in November the result was Reagan 49 states and 535 Electoral Votes, Mondale 1 state (plus DC) and 13 Electoral Votes.

The answer to this question is simple: conservatives must wake up and smell the coffee.

It's hard for conservatives to smell the coffee when we're holding our noses.

The anger expressed by conservatives toward President Bush is primarily focused on two issues: border security/immigration and federal spending.

Don't forget CFR.

The best choice for conservatives; the best candidate to advance our agenda; and the best person in which to put our hope and faith is President George W. Bush.

When selecting between Jeffrey Dahmer and Michael Jackson to babysit your children, the best choice is obvious. That doesn't mean you should shut up and be happy about it.

On the two previously mentioned issues of immigration policy and federal spending, conservatives only need to look at the alternatives to see that President Bush is the right person for the job. Regarding immigration policy, if Sen. Kerry were to become America's next president, there would be no need to debate the merits of granting legal status to a portion of illegal immigrants... [etc.]

If Kerry or one of the other Demwits was president, then the GOP Congress would stonewall on such things. In other words, why didn't Clinton overspend as much as Bush? Because he had to push budgets through an adversarial Congress. Gridlock rules!

The only part that really sucks about having a DemonRat president is the judicial nominations. :(

The conservative movement needs a voice, and it needs a leader. President Bush is that leader, and he has stood by conservatives on many of the issues we hold dear.

He has also dropped the ball on many of them.

He has done some good tings, but the problem is that he is either so insecure about his second term that he is willing to sell out conservatism whenever he believes it is expedient to do so. or he never was a conservative to begin with.

Legalizing illegals, massive spending, creating huge entitlements (prescription drugs) among other things, will damage this country long after he is gone.

He cannot ask for unconditional love, he will have to earn our support. If George Bush wants the votes of conservatives than he should start to "reach out" a little more to them and a little less to those who never did, nor probably ever will, vote for him.

Damn right. Bush is the only candidate who can get steroids out of professional sports. That's at least as important as putting a man on Mars.

"Bush-Bashing Conservatives Should Focus on the Big Picture"

I am, I am!

$2,000,000,000,000.00

The Medicare Drug Entitlement is a VERY BIG PICTURE.

My part of that is about $40,000, or about two years more work before retirement. I get it. Republicans are now stealing my life.
