.................................................................
The Poetry Branch has been in limbo since the prior hostess left FreeRepublic April 15th 2003. We've since learned that said hostess has lost her posting privilege. That being the case, and Jim Robinson having given his ok, I wanted to renew the thread.
FreeRepublic is blessed with many fine poets, and we look forward to seeing their poems posted on FR once again. There were many non-poet FReepers who visited the Poetry Branch for the camaraderie; we hope they will return.
I would like to invite everyone to visit and relax at Poetry and Potpourri. Hopefully you will renew old acquaintances for chatting, sharing jokes, telling stories, posting cartoons, etc. Everyone needs a place to escape from the everyday news, make Poetry and Potpourri that place.

The Garden Of Friendship
The garden of friendship
is always in bloom
whatever the season or day
With flowers to cheer us
though sunshine and rain
lovely blooms to brighten our way.
Flowers of hope and encouragement,
understanding, compassion and care,
Blooms that grow sweeter as time passes by
in the beautiful memories we share.
And no matter how far we may wander away,
no matter how long we`re apart,
We`ll still know the joys
of the flowers that grow
in the garden that blooms in our heart.

Amy, if you are going to get a big dog, consider getting a Labrador Retiever. They are the sweetest, smartest and most loyal and loving dogs. I've never had a Golden. They are beautiful and probably equally as smart, I am sure. Like Labs, they are used as guide and rescue dogs because they are so gentle and easily trainable........but I have always been partial to Labs.
Isn't this little guy just adorable?

Any dog that I ever bathed, never behaved like that one. LOL Mine either. Except for my Lab who, true to his breed, just loved the water. Still, he wouldn't sit still like that, he'd be wanting to splash and play and get me in the tub with him. LOL

I am not familiar with CFIDS.
CFIDS = Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome; aka as CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.), and other names. (While chronic fatigue is associated with other conditions -- such as a side effect of chemotherapy and chronic depression, those who suffer from CFIDS experience a fatiguing condition similar to how one feels when you have the flu. Only with the flu, you eventually get better. Imagine dealing with those muscle aches, the weakness, headaches, and other symptoms on a daily basis and you know how someone with CFS feels on
a good day. Many also have other conditions associated with the syndrome, such as fibromyalgia and MCS -- Multiple Chemical Sensitivities.)
Comparing the fatigue in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome to being tired is akin to comparing a match to the atomic bomb. -Laura Hillenbrand, Author of
