The Poetry Branch has been in limbo since the prior hostess left FreeRepublic April 15th 2003. We've since learned that said hostess has lost her posting privilege. That being the case, and Jim Robinson having given his ok, I wanted to renew the thread.

FreeRepublic is blessed with many fine poets, and we look forward to seeing their poems posted on FR once again. There were many non-poet FReepers who visited the Poetry Branch for the camaraderie; we hope they will return.

I would like to invite everyone to visit and relax at Poetry and Potpourri. Hopefully you will renew old acquaintances for chatting, sharing jokes, telling stories, posting cartoons, etc. Everyone needs a place to escape from the everyday news, make Poetry and Potpourri that place.

OMGosh, I can't tell you how bad I need that drink and your hot tub. I'm so tired I'm almost crying but I can't leave now. LOL This is the first time in almost a year where we have all been on at FR at the same time. (((((group hug)))))

We took a field trip today on the Amtrack. It was very nice, but I'm pooped.

Congratulations to your son! I know you are so proud of him. Please tell him about all of us at FR who appreciate his service. And tell him for me that he chose the right branch. ;-) What career field is he in? I think you told me, but you know about my CRS disease. Or did I not tell you? I don't remember.

He is a munitions system specialist. He gets to play with the bombs and missles. Kinda scary because I had to totally rewire his car sterio once, and now he wires bombs!

I searched everywhere the other night for a wav or ram file of Loreena McKennitt's "The Highwayman". I found a couple but they were just the very first part. I'm sure you know where all the good music sites are, so if you come across it anywhere in your internet travels, please let me know. I'd sure appreciate it. :-)

Do you ever wonder why you wonder?

Well, usually I start to wonder why I wonder but then my brain forgets what I'm supposed to be wondering about and then I start to wonder 'was I wondering why I wonder?' and 'why I wonder, would I be wondering why I wonder why I wonder?' and then the next thing I know I wake up with drool on my pillow and wonder what happened. That's pretty much how it goes with me. How about you?
