If you go to Moab (Marvelous country early spring and late fall, fewer travelers and cooler weather) there is an old road by the Colorado river that goes east out of town. When it gets out of the canyon and into a vast meadow, look to the right for some outlandish sandstone spires and a sign which says "Fisher Towers". Take the road a mile and you wind up in this fabulous playground. My girls have been going to these places since they were babes, and now it is second nature for them to want to go, and when they are there and have been exploring and climbing around for a while, it has the marvelous effect of making them very pleasant to live with.

Those ladies on the beach were really wild -- I kept my distance as you may well imagine. A pride of females are dangerous. Did you see how they spilt in two groups? A sure sign that they setting up to corner and bring down any good looking male.

I know habs that you have never been, nor will ever be in that position - but I assure that from many encounters of that kind, it is not something you can survive on a regular basis.
