Worried about the Brits? Dont be too worried...
Artist Wins Award to Perform... Artist Won't Perform
The cancellation will not effect the amount of cash Mr Stitt will receive though. Mr Stitt is performing eight other pieces as part of the town's art project, including locking himself in derelict house and remodelling it using stuffed preserved albino animals, crematorium ash cans, vinyl lettering and talcum powder.

OMG.. what is this world coming to? Help us all..
I read a thread yesterday or the day before about two black women suing Southwest Airlines, because the flight attendant said something like.. Einie, meinie, minie moe, find your seats so we can go. They are being sued because they said it was racist.. I don't know if they were citizens of this country or not.. Wish I could find the thead again..
What is wrong with everybody?
To: grannie9
Everybody needs a good vacation. Preferably one away from everyone else. Remember what we used to call brazil nuts? Big ones that were peeled and whole?

Yes, of course.. You know, if there weren't so many lawyers........
The young people today don't remember those things, only us old folk..and I use that term lightly in relationship to you.. ;)
To: grannie9
The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left foot in... and then the trouble started. rotfl...RIP, Larry. ;-)
To: Kathleen
LOL...I can still remember doing that on roller skates at the rink. I can really remember Al doing it.. Ooopsie Daisy.. klunk.. lol lol..
I should have known then, that he'd never be a smooth dancer.. lol
To: grannie9
You did the hokey pokey on roller skates??? You're brave, Gran.
Braking on roller skates was always difficult enough for me, doing the hokey pokey was unimaginable...lol. ;-)
To: Kathleen
See, you and Al have a lot in common.. ;)
Oh I lived my life in a roller-skating rink.. It's where I met Al..;)
I could dance.... ghod I loved it.. sighhhhhhhh I would have loved on-line skates a few years ago.. Now, I wouldn't dare..
I won my first pair of shoe-skates in a Kids TV drawing contest. I was on Boston TV when I was 12.. LOL.. Ghod I haven't thought of that in years.. I think the original pair are still up in the barn.. (talk about not throwing things away..)
To: grannie9
omg Gran, that's was back in the days when skates had keys. ;-)
Amazing the things you have stashed in that barn of yours...:-)

(remembers skate keys)
To: Kathleen
That barn of mine has more stored than things.. heheh heheh...
Yes.. I sure do remember the keys. I had my key on a string around my neck at all times. In fact I think I have a few old pics of my skate keys around my neck.. I was the only kid with shoe-skates, and of course you couldn't use them on the street. That's when I started hitting the rinks.. Remember the big round bumper on the front for stopping?
To: grannie9
The rink I went to didn't have bumpers...goodness knows I could have used them. They should have thanked me for dusting the floors whenever I finished skating back in the day..lol.
Whoever would have guessed our gran was once a Roller Derby Queen? ;-)
To: acnielsen guy
I'm curious ACe, but how much did you pay her for an afternoon's delight of picture taking? An all you can eat tapas smorgasbord, or was she the mercenary type?
To: Kathleen
No Kath.. the skates had bumpers.. in the front.. lol
No Roller Derby.. I never intentionally whacked anyone off the floor.. Intentionally is the operative word here.. ;)
It was fun dancing couples tho... So romantic.. Then Al came along and screwed that all up.. lol
To: grannie9
When I was young and fully bigoted, I used to say that same limmerick "eeinie meenie, minie moe, catch an N-Word by the toe"...I had no idea that saying such a word was frowned upon when I was 5 yrs old.Thank God we were still able to call the Quebecois kids the frogs that they were ;-)
I later discovered what brazil nuts used to be called as well ;-0
To: habs4ever; acnielsen guy
All I know is.. that's not me. Swarrrr...
I won't let him take my pic anymore.. He's a wuthless conniver..
To: Sundog
Yes, i do ;-) A VERY liberal Manhattanite informed of the proper description of said comestible.Well, I never!
To: grannie9
No, he's just a DOM ;-)He has the bland, grey socks to go with the greasy raincoat....
To: habs4ever
I later discovered Brazil nuts.. ;)
