We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail![President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Jimmy Carter says that President Bush has not made the case for war.
The United States and Great Britain, according to British dispatches, have given Iraq six more weeks - time that will be used to convince skeptical Arab countries and France to get on board for military action.
Satellite pictures indicate activity at the Yongbyon nuclear facility in North Korea showed that state may be about ready to produce plutonium for nuclear weapons.
And President Bush has signed a directive, the Washington Times is reporting, that allows nuclear weapons to be used in response to biological or chemical attacks.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good idea to attract you young minds to this site. First, they need encouragement, and Second, "WE" could use the stimulation of young thoughts.
BTW.. I'm monitoring the Weather Channel. It looks like the midwest storm is tracking North. I don't want to spend the day holed up in a truck stop tomorrow, and am considering traveling to Des Moines from SE Iowa this evening to avoid the storm they told us was headed our way.
Looking at TWC, it appears I have nothing to fear, and could easily drive in to the metro area in the morning. Could you take a look at that map and give me your opinion as to whether or not I've interperted the map correctly?

I would say there is a chance of light snow in central Iowa, but the interpretation that puts most of the weather up into southern MN and WI appears to be correct.
The interesting thing about this notion is the interpretation is dependent upon a low that is disorganized and holds its precipitation shield significantly far away from its center (the low will track through Missouri). What will have to be watched is whether the center decides to organize, but current reports from SPC (Storm Prediction Center) in Norman, OK, say the models do not current support such an outcome.

First, they need encouragement, I'm not sure how much "encouragement" they really need. In every single instance - and I talked with over three dozen kids - I was struck and awed by how committed each and every one of them were to the Cause.
What this site can provide them is data and information they can use in their continuing battles with the forces of darkness that eminate from the Criminal Party and the left.

thanx, I really would like another night in my own bed before I hit the trail. The most recent detail of tomorrows weather looks like a mix. I think I'll take a nap and see what the screen has to offer when I wake up.

of tomorrows weather looks like a mix As I make my prognostication and give my justification:
I see my shadow beside me and that is that magic you see.

I just got to see those pictures you posted yesterday of where your hubby's working. It certainly does look different from the summertime photo we saw the other day! I understand your concern and I'll keep him in my prayers.
You mentioned events at home knocking you for a loop? ... I hope everything's okay, sweetie. Prayers for you and yours.

We'd appreciate it if you would check in please. You often put things I'm feeling into words better than I can. Plus, we're sad enough right now, without worrying about you. Check in.

My family just got done watching Bill Murray in "Ground Hog Day." Fun movie.
We're having nearly ideal weather: sunny and temps in the 60s. I guess if there are any ground hogs around here, they'll definitely see their shadows.

Hi Mozie!
You and me both.
Betsy and I cancelled our trip to Appleton because it sounded as though we were going to get freezing rain starting early this afternoon.
Nothing as of 3 o'clock.
The worst part was these tickets to Mama Mia, a 1:00 PM performance, at the PAC in Appleton are non-refundable, so we're eating those tickets at this point! Aaauuuuggghhhh....
Winter storm still predicted, with snowfalls up to 9 inches here.
To: Mr. Mulliner
We like
Groundhog Day, too. Another good Bill Murray movie is
What About Bob? Pretty funny stuff.
I meant to tell you before that I'm sorry everybody's still sick at your house. Prayers that you all get to feeling better soon. At least you had the good news about your daughter's eyesight. What a quick improvement! I'm glad she's able to quit wearing that patch, hopefully for good.

Guess what just got blamed on the President...
It's all Bush's fault..
Fears of a catastrophic shuttle accident were raised last summer with the White House by a former Nasa engineer who pleaded for a presidential order to halt all further shuttle flights until safety issues had been addressed.
In a letter to the White House, Don Nelson, who served with Nasa for 36 years until he retired in 1999, wrote to President George W. Bush warning that his 'intervention' was necessary to 'prevent another catastrophic space shuttle accident'.

I will have to check out "What About Bob?". I like Bill Murray a lot. He really gets to my funny bone.
"Ground Hog Day" and "Multiplicity" are both movies by Harold Ramis. Seems there is at least one or two other movies he made that I like too.
Think I've finally got my geometry figured out for this project I've been putting off. Now to tackle cutting boards at the correct angles.

Had to talk to the monster up there in order to finish, sheesh he (or she) has been up there for 22 years so I promised to find 'it' a good home soon. Bet a few of ya'll got a attic like mine too so, be kind to your monster.
It is back to cleaning so, talk to ya'll later.

Good God...
We knew it would only be a matter of time... but 1 day after?...
That's beyond the pale.
Hey Mozie... It's really coming down. (Snow that is.)

I helped my niece and her husband clean out their attic yesterday as they're moving to a new house. My goodness! It was just impossible to believe how much stuff they've accumulated in less than six years of marriage and three years in that house, nearly all of it serving virtually no purpose as far as I could see.
I've moved so many times in my life, over 40 if my count is correct. The good thing about moving that many times is that you can't accumulate so much junk and still make moves manageable.

Almost-Good evening everyone.
Dog, I just showed my husband the "Best of the Web" you linked. As an Honorary FReeper, he got a chuckle out of our scoop. Thanks!!
Enjoy the snow NY. Seems like you must be in need of it....
Mr.M, that is such good news about your d. I'm sure she was quite happy, and you were too. It bodes well if she ever needs braces too, - that she's such a good patient!
No I never read that book you mention, and probably never will....too many other books ahead of it...
C-SPAN covered some of yesterday morning's CPAC, but didn't see the Chairman or anyone I knew....

Speaking of braces, our oldest daughter gets her braces off on Tuesday, about 6 months ahead of schedule. That is very good news because the difference in the cost of braces here in America compared with Singapore where she had them put on is astronomical so each month we can save a trip to the orthodontist saves a bundle.

Gerhard Schroeder's anti-Americanism apparently isn't going over as big in Germany as our media would have us believe. Here's a couple of paragraphs about election results in Germany.
The conservative Christian Democrats won 48 percent of the vote in Schroeder's home state of Lower Saxony, gaining 12 points over the last election five years ago to wrest the statehouse from the Social Democrats, exit polls and early returns compiled for ARD national television showed. The Social Democrats were at 33 percent, down from nearly 48 percent last time. In Hesse state, the data showed the Christian Democrats surging to 50 percent from 39 percent in 1999, with the Social Democrats slumping to 27 percent from 39 percent. The boost in support left the Christian Democrats poised to drop a centrist coalition ally and govern the state alone.
