I deny all knowledge.
I fail to recollect.
Not my fault.
It was broken/ feet crazy glued to the ground/ on fire/ already had arrows in it by the time I got there.
I just merely roasted the marshmallows/ politician/ neighbors' dog/ mailman/ some guy over it.

Didn't hear the 218 story...when did that happen?? I am not surprised tho coz after last weeks storm, they had done a not so hot job of plowing.

The 218 debacle happened the morning after the snowstorm.
218 had been closed at midnight(or so), then reopened at around 8:30 am. It hadn't been open for 15 minutes before some guy with an SUV rolled it. He figured he had 4 wheel drive, he could do 55 in the sludge. He forgot that while he had 4 wheel drive, all cars have 4 wheel brakes.

They gave up on Slate Hill/ Westtown area after about 8:30 at night during the snow. So when they finally DID come to plow the area, they had a backlog of frozen slime to try and push their way through. It was fun to watch them spin their wheels and slide.

Route 84 was closed by Middletown exit 2. A semi jacknifed and rolled right by the exit. I shut the scanner off because they had more calls than people to answer them.
It was a wonderful day.
You get through alright? No idiots doing anything stupid? I stayed put the whole day.

I stayed put for the entire day...my brother drove in from Middletown, but took it very very slow in his 4 WD...coming and going.

The next day I went out later in the morning..it was not a pretty sight..at least a good 2" of ice/sludge where the blows could not get down far enough..I made a quick trip to the Dr's for my daughter then came straight home.

Yeah. The DOT guys were complaining up a storm about having to work.
They pretty much did nothing for several hours.

No-one I knew got hurt, but others weren't so lucky.
Port jervis left their usual 4" of junk on the road before attempting to fix it several days later.

Nothing like the invasion of company to put stuff on the back burner so to speak.
I usually answer the phone without stopping what I'm doing.
If they think that's rude, then they should imagine being interrupted by a fluff phonecall.. };-)

She just gassed the place with it, and I have no chemical protectant mask to use..
