I couldn't read any more, either. Julianne Malveaux was on Fox first thing this morning, gleefully calling for TR to resign from the Senate.
All you hear is Rat spin on this issue, everywhere. They are focused and relentless. And if the Republicans don't counter, Rat spin will be all anyone hears until after the New Year. The Republicans should not allow the Rats to control the agenda on this issue. Any time they want to start fighting back, it will be about time, IMHO.
Sometimes I think all we're doing is shoveling shiite against the tide, Gran.

I agree Kath. It makes you wonder why you care and why you vote. One little bump in the road and everyone/thing goes haywire. It's scary to think we give them all credit for knowing things, especially things they should know or should care about. What is the sense if your leaders are dummer than dirt?
If they can't straighten this out, I'm ready to give up on them all.. Is anyone with half a brain in charge up there?

This morning I went to vote for a delegate in a local election. As I was driving out, I found myself wondering what real difference it all makes at this point. Not much, nationally.
In the end, it all boils down to who can out-spin, out-maneuver and how many dead people/felons/illegals voted. After this last fiasco, I'm more exhausted than I am energized. Even when we win, we lose and I, for one, am sick of it.
To: Kathleen
I don't care if this is too big today. ;(
I'm sick of it too. We, as people are supposed to help put these fools in, and what do we get? Fools.. How can they wonder why the public is sick of it all? They can't protect the country... They let everyone in who wants to come, and never bother to see if they should be here. We, as citizens put up with more hell than most of the illegals in the country. Who's the good guys here? Us or them? Damn.. I'm tired..aggitated, half nuts, and royally pissed off..
To: Kathleen
This is what I feel like doing. ;)
To: grannie9
I'm with you on being tired, agitated, half nuts and royally PO-ed. AND the kicker is, if we all become so disgusted that we quit voting altogether(and we both know that we won't stop), next thing you know we'll end up with President Hillary. I can't even bear the thought. She's waiting in the wings, orchestrating this mess as we speak, to that end.
That truly is one gorgeous pic, Gran, as I sit here with two shirts and my space heater on. ;-) Have to run errands...I'll be back this afternoon. Don't get in any trouble without me. Smoooooch....
To: grannie9
I love it. ;-)
To: grannie9; Kathleen
I feel exactly the same as you do - now if you could only tell me where the heck to fly away to...
WhyTF doesn't the president step in and tell everyone that the freaking play time is over - we've got more important fish to fry than TR's stupid ass, and just to shut the f*ck up, or something like that.
This crap is wearing me down more than Bush not doing anything that many of us had hoped he would do when he first came into office - and by the way, that still pisses me off when I think about it very long.

Okay...are we feeling any better yet? ;-)
To: Kathleen
I had an hours laughter with Dean Martin, so I do feel a little better.. Gee, he's a good-looking man for 79. Woo woo!! lol
I am not going to read the news for the rest of the afternoon. I just put some green beans on and thawed some Lamb Chops.
It's warmed up here for a few days. Have all the doors and windows open again.. Lovely, just lovely... ;)
To: grannie9
Very nice - I too have stopped with the news today - have you figgered out where to fly yet?

Crap.
I can't seem to remember where I put something.
Just made me forget what I was going to say.
I'll be back in a bit, try to jump start the brain here...
To: lodwick
Well, it is the 17th, and if I'm not too late I think I'll fly to the moon tonight. Isn't this the night the moon and Saturn are in Conjunction? Right after dusk in the northeast sky. I have some good binoculars.. Maybe I can see something.. Ohhhhh, put my telephoto lense on the camera? It will probably be cloudy by then.. ;(
Check that out for me will ya, Lod? ;) I'm pretty sure it's the 17th..
To: grannie9; lodwick
I'm not paying attention to the news, either. Tonight I'll bake cookies and play Christmas carols instead of watching the Fox lineup. Time to start planning to have ourselves a Merry little Christmas and stop obsessing over the things we cannot change. ;-)
Gran, I *bet* you're in a better mood after shmoozing with Dean Martin for an hour...lol :-)
To: Kathleen
I wish I was young like you, and could stay up past nine.. sighhh..
To: grannie9
Maybe it's your moonlight dancing and getting up in the middle of the night that wears you out so. If I got up as early as you do, I'd be unconscious by 7. ;-)
To: Kathleen
Oh..I'm unconcious by seven, I just haven't gone to bed yet.. lol
To: grannie9
Yeah, you have to stay awake to make sure that Al doesn't burn the house down. ;-)
To: Kathleen
Just got done looking through the older threads.
Are we all insane here?
(Yes, I skimmed all the way back to thread 14 of DD. And that's where I wisely stopped.)
To: Darksheare
But of course...we're dregs and flakes here, Darks. ;-)
