Good luck, that is a big job. Just remember, you're doing it for the goats...

If it has grits, it is going to be a good meal. I am not one to do fancy things when I cook but would like to. Sometimes the presentations are as good as the food, It slays me to watch the chinese cooks do all those fancy cuttings with tomatoes and stuff.

Ole Mr. M sure has some lucky goats, right? BUT do the goats really know what he has in mind? He will do it for them and do it to them, slip up, cut their throat, skin them, build a big fire in a pit in the back, then-------roast him. Bet the goats really don't want him to be doing all this for them.

In the corporate world, I hired and fired, had responsibility over large budgets.

Well being a techie, I've been spared that headache. We have managers who take care of people and "Technical advisors" who keep the day to day stuff going.

lepton, thanks for the ping to that thread.

Woke up this a.m., and soon learned that our ISP- RoadRunner, Time Warner, was out in n.e. Ohio.

It returned sometime this afternoon.

In the meantime, we've had horrid winter weather- sleet, then snow. It's a mess outside...beautiful, but a mess!

So I've been busy putting together the presents for my husband's staff, and cleaning.

Mr. M., as soon as I got on the computer awhile ago, I found an email from a fellow who is a member of the congregation and sat next to me at the Sat. meeting.

He wanted to know why I asked a particular question...which he quoted me as asking...and then launched into a lecture on how I could ask such a question.

Trouble is....I never asked that question!

Really!! Am I not batting a thousand this week?????

GRRRRRRR....He didn't even address it to me using my name, or add his to the end. He's obviously pro-Pali.

I responded politely, declining responsibility for the obnoxious (just kidding about that part!) question.

And politely, but firmly suggested that perhaps someone else had asked it after I had left???

He says he feels the "need to engage in a dialogue." Well I don't!!

Rant over.....

It should be an interesting problem to solve. I bet you get it done. All for the goats. Mmmmmm. Goat. In gyros, with onions and roasted peppers.

"Now, before you northerners on the thread get your dander up ....."

No dander raising here. I love the way southern children are taught to speak to their elders. I love that "Yes, ma'am; no, sir" stuff.

I'm sure that even if they did know what's in store for them, they'd think, "Better later than sooner!"

I do hope these goats show a little appreciation for their redemption.

Molly, I don't know what to say about that guy who is accusing you of something you never said. Perhaps it's overstating things to quote Matthew 5:11?

"Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
Progress report. We have over 350 phone books put into plastic bags, taped, and ready to deliver. We hope to finish the other 280 before bedtime and get my route figured out. I found out my sister did this in Omaha once so I'm following in her footsteps.

I wonder if Mapquest has a route planner? That might help quite a bit.

The terrine is in the oven. I hope it turns out ok. After it cools, I'll surround the entire thing in about 1/4 inch of aspic. The aspic turned out well, from the test piece.

Ought to have told him 'what for' and let him stew but, being the lady you are I know you wouldn't. Sometimes ya'll hold back when I would surely tell them 'what for'.

My meatloaf supper turned out just great and enjoyed by all. If fact, they didn't leave me any leftovers for tomorrow. Lets see now, mabe a chicken in the ole crockpot tomorrow, naw, they got to go shopping, how bout Friday, darn they are gonna start wanting to hire me out befor long.

It is nighty, night to one and all so have a good night and don't let the bed bugs bite.

I know this is probably audacious to you two.....but Guennie served Marie Callendar Pot Pies...for dinner with a salad.

It's been an extremely busy day....I wanted to clear my freezer for all my baked items....

..and well....they're actually quite tasty :)

Whoa!!! Batting a thousand, huh? Me, too, only in the 'puter department. First our computer acts up...corrected....now Sarah's is rebooting...often... for no apparent reason AND my son called to tell me his power went off in Virginia. When it came back on...his webtv gave him an error code of 0425...WHAT???? LOL Since the webtv is in my name I will have to try to fix that, too...from afar. Sheesh!!

I'm on Sarah's computer now. Hope I can post this fast.
