AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 654) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 5, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 11/05/2002 4:10:06 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

ELECTION DAY!! DO NOT FORGET TO VOTE!!

In 2000, it was decided that Democrats should vote on Wednesday. Not enought took advantage of that offer, so this year, to cut down on lines in polling places, something new will be tried.

Through special arrangement with certain folks in Canada - who, because of the extent of their magnanimity wish to remain nameless - it is now possible to dedicate special polling places just for the use of Democrats.

Democrats, think of this as your own special voting district. Republicans are to vote in the United States - no Republicans whatsover will be allowed to vote in Canada today.

On the other hand, Democrats should take the opportunity to drive north of the border and vote there. No lines - gone will be the complaints of having to wait to vote. No polling monitors - you can vote as many times as you want. You will be able to come home refreshed with the knowledge that you were able to cast thousands, even tens of thousands of votes for your candidate - and no one will so much as hassle you.

So don't delay. The north beckons. If you are a Democrat, hop in your car, drive north, cross the border, and vote. In fact, so good is this program, there are Republicans who will be more than glad - once they have cast their vote in America, because this special offer is not open to them - to drive you and other voting age (in other words, anyone who can recognize a crayon) members of your family (you will have to make your own arrangements to transport dead people) into Canada to your special polling places. (This offer, however, is only one way - you will have to make your own arrangements to return to America).

Democrats - Canada. That's where your vote should be.

[Good only on November 5, 2002. Not good with any other offer, and may not be exercised by Republicans. Offer applies to any definition of family that may be provided by a card carrying Democrat. For further details, see the back of your Rice Krispies box - they might be there. Certain other restrictions apply. No actual guarantee of voting ability is made or warranted. No ballots will be cast on behalf of the Democrat voter by the Republican. If, in fact, you are a Democrat, and you could not actually vote in Canada, complaints will be taken on November 4, 2002. No Canadians were harmed during the preparation of this offer.]

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

The last thing Landrieu and the RATS want is for this race to go to a runoff. All of her advantages disappear, and the GOP will smarm over this state like white on rice. Looks like Dubya is coming for a visit or three! 8^)

Hi Molly.

You Floridians are sure voting on some weird stuff!

No lie. It seems like we are becoming more and more like the Cereal box state on the left coast. Sheesh.

Any numbers from your district yet?

5.56mm

We were redistricted, and just swapped one Dem for another.:((

Other than THAT, it'll be a good night for the Republicans locally and statewide....

g6, you wrote yesterday you were "born" Democrat. Do you mind telling how/when you switched?

Was it Reagan or earlier, when the South started going R during Nixon's years?

Have you guys noticed? There's an election going on;^))

Hey, speaking of elections, did you hear that the Republican in the Second District in Indiana has relatives in Europe??

Yeah, he's related to some agribusiness guy in Romania -- a Count Chocola....

Ask, and so you shall receive:

DOLE - 91,318 (53%)
BOWLES - 78,145 (46%)
HAUGH - 1,318 (1%)

6% reporting.

No, the polls don't close for another hour, but all the evidence I've seen and heard lead me to believe she won't make 50%, barring voter fraud in New Orleans.

;-) The pregnant pig amendment is truly worrisome.

Like there's not Haitians wandering up on the shores and jumping in the back of pickup trucks. Or an untamed rhino running unfettered in the state.

Woo-hoo! We got the house! I'm going to be a home owner before I have more white hairs than dark.

We did the loan today based on our best guess and were able to lock in the 5.25% rate, but hadn't heard yet about our offer. Turns out our offer wasn't accepted as is, but their counter was in the ballpark so we took it. Tomorrow we initial the contract and stop by the bank again.

Now, is there anyone here I can e-mail a picture of the house to so it can be posted online? I haven't found it online at the realtor.

Never mind about having to e-mail. Our realtor just e-mailed me a link. Doesn't do justice to the 2 acres, but it will have to do.

LOL! The Buckeye state may be missing some real excitement with our dull, humdrum issues, like whether to treat rather than jail first-time drug offenders.

That was the ONLY statewide issue this time round.

Bit, you are not joking!! I just saw Chocola's name on Fox. Talk about name recognition!
