When life went sour, the expected response was chin up, keep a stiff upper lip, deal with it. You solved your problems, lived with them, or had the grace to shut up about them.
Fred jams another one home. Thanks AC.

Since FR went south on us earlier in the day, I took the opprtunity to try and straighten and clean this pig stye to presentable status for Mrs.Lodwick's return tomorrow. Another accounting proggie was downloaded to see if it's the magic thingie to help keep real estate accounting under control.
One more cuppa joe for the final push towards happy hour. bbl Keep having fun.

This was a nice walk near Pawtuckaway Lake.
Come take a walk with me.. !
To: grannie9
Oh Gran, I would love to! I can almost smell the leaves and autumn in the air looking at these pics..awesome. :-)
To: Kathleen
Is it too warm for you to get the change down there? I would have thought you would see some color..
To: Kathleen
This was a very big pretty tree..
To: grannie9
We've haven't had much rain all summer, and if there are maple trees here, I never see them. Maples give the best color. People drive west to see foliage, but once you've seen foliage up north, you're spoiled for life. Nothing else compares.
To: grannie9
Oh my. That's exactly what I never see here...gorgeous reds. Thanks for my new wallpaper. ;-)

To: grannie9
Thanks so much. The sky is gorgeous, too. ;-)

My sentiments exactly - what the hell has happened to Americans or at least those in the media. We hear nonsense about a sniper taking on three thousand law enbforcment personel as being a coward - people who fly planes into the Pentagon and the WTC are cowards. People who hide in caves from being bombed at 50,000 feet with weapons of mass destruction as being cowards. Language has no meaning any more say anything you like if it makes you feel good.
To: grannie9
Your pictures make one feel as if you were there in that wonderful place, by the lake or walking in the woods. Thanks for showing us the beauty of your State.
To: acnielsen guy
You're very welcome AC.. We love to see where you live too, so get your butt out there and take some more pics for us.. ;)
We will all walk along with you too..
To: acnielsen guy
This is probably even more disgusting to me because I live in this area. We are attempting to go on about our lives and every time the most minute shred of new information is found, reporters immediately start blasting the airwaves with "a possible break in the story" that turns out to be a big nothing. How many times can one hear that without going completely numb? The only ones getting off on this story are the sniper(s) and the media. The rest of us are just trying to carry on.
So the terrorists are cowards. Geraldo Rivera, however, on his never-ending quest to insinuate himself into every story he covers, is touted as being brave. This figures.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to rant. I feel better now. ;-)
To: Kathleen
You know what really gets my goat? Hero's... Everyone is a hero.. Gag me.. These people today haven't any conception anymore of what a hero is.. The media twists the whole language to suit their purpose..
To: grannie9
The media shapes public opinion to suit their purposes and the masses buy whatever they are told without question. Beam me up.
To: grannie9
I'm out of here..will check in when I get home.
To: Kathleen
Ok hon.. safe trip home.. Get home and have that cocktail..you deserve it.. ;)
