We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Fox News is reporting some of the intelligence offered to Congress yesterday details that Saddam is dangerously close to actually producing nuclear weapons.
Additionally, there is intelligence that Saddam was in contact with Al Qa'eda both before and after the attacks upon America on September 11, 2001.
Fox News is also reporting the military has moved equipment from Qatar to Kuwait, adding the Pentagon is saying this is a routine movement to test equipment in the event the President orders war preparations against Iraq.
Meanwhile, admitting no access to intelligence about Iraq, the previous occupant of the Office of the President said the United States should not go after Saddam, but remain focused on The Evil One.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Post your short news items, issues of interest, links, and so on. All who advance the Cause are welcome.
Now we are ready.
Less than a month before the term is to begin, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, citing health concerns, will announce her retirement on Monday morning.
Morning, GC! I'm now ready for my second cup....of tea!
Good morning Chairman, everyone!!
Mr. Mulliner - I beleive that our President has set a RAT trap and is slowly closing the noose (and by now, they don't have much breathing room left!). I found these excerpts from a NY Post article by Deborah Orin interesting:
Some Democrats privately fume that the vote looks like Bush's "October surprise," since it could help the GOP - but they can hardly complain since it was Democrats who kept demanding a vote all summer.
Another delicate problem for Democrats is that the vote could split their party on racial lines. It is expected to pass easily, but most black House members are expected to vote "no."
Looks like we can take care of two problems at once - Removing SoDamned Insane from power (and existance on this planet) and further exposing the RATs for the anti-american b@stards they are.
Molly,Do I really seem that impertubable???
Well...I certainly would call you a level headed thinker. Good morning.
Getting back to one of your questions about Atkins...I have read where BP has been lowered. My husband's total health improved...bp, cholestrol, energy, etc.
A NEW Jersey joke: "Why do people take an instant dislike to Sen. Robert Torricelli? To save time."
AMERICAS WAR ON TERROR Day 361
The news as reported in The Washington Times:
[Note All links go to The Washington Times website.]
1. Senators get what they term a troubling briefing about Iraq.
[Yes, but Senator Ill Do Anything to Thwart the Presidents Agenda Including Endangering the Nation raised the spectre of VietNam in his discussions with the media.]
Congressmen get 'troubling' briefing
2. An individual dressed himself up in the uniform of the new Afghan army, obtained a weapon, located the Afghan leaders limousine, and fired a round at the car. President Karzai was missed, but only narrowly.
[Afghanistan is still a dangerous place. I wonder how many of these cretins are being backed by the Axis of Evil.]
3. The Pentagon is considering a war scenario that would depart from the normal WWII doctrine of build first then strike that America has followed for decades. Concern is that media attention to Saddam would cause him to understand any military buildup was aimed directly at him, and he would act. Continued strikes, with air power, upon vital installations during a buildup is of interest to the military.
[Yes, something to consider if you believe your opponent has WMDs and the means to deliver them.]
Pentagon considers a hit before buildup
4. Next week there will be re-enactment of the bloodiest battle on American soil, the Battle of Antietam.
[Most interesting, and somewhat sad, is the corporate sponsorship angle. Three companies are sponsoring specific skirmishes. Good afternoon, this skirmish is being brought to you by ABC Corp. Next it will be the ABC Corp Skrimish, then, like stadiums, theyll rename historical battles.]
The Blue, the Gray -- and the green
5. Washington area schools are planning a variety of memorial activities for September 11, 2002.
[Appropriate.]
6. The University of the District of Columbia is spending less than half the National average for providing education and research to undergraduate students and its not that it is being economical.
[It wouldnt matter if they were spending twice the National average. The school is flat out so horrible I would not wish for even my worst enemy to have to go there. It is the pits. Shut it down.]
Undergrad students shorted at UDC
7. [The junior Senator from New York] has changed her coiffure, and her new 'do was introduced at a Washington labor rally yesterday. The blond locks are now drawn back from her face, revealing the serene brow and knowing smile of a goddess in pearls, with Palm Pilot.
[BARF!! And it is REALLY ugly. Staffers are calling it the coin look saying it is as a style used for portraits on coinage.]
We shall not rest until we have cut a swath 60-miles wide through the entire left - taking all that is before us with us as we go. We shall leave nothing to the enemy that may be of value to him. We shall show him that he may count on nothing and will be able to keep nothing, not his spirit, not his soul, not that upon which he shall feed. We shall not cease until the moment we have rent through their entire land and have arrived at the sea, with our glorious victory upon us.
