The darkside is VERY testy today,,, I was called "SCUM" for saying that if there are indeed posters on FR who are believed to be involved in any anti-government/anti-america movement/organization they should be identified (via ISP) and thrown off of here.

Great graphic! I have stolen it and put it on my profile page for quick reference ..... hehe!
Prayers for your nephew .... both for his physical healing and his spiritual needs.
And happy birthday to your brother!

Anyone protesting that statement should be very suspect, IMO .... and probably proves your point. Go get 'em, Nita!

EXACTLY Kay!!!
Kinda reminded me of when my two kids were little and Renata would run up the stairs crying, Carlos following fast as can. Before I could get the words out "What is wrong?", Carlos would chime in...."I didn't slap her on the arm!"

I don't know what is happening around here....but it is really scary on the other side sometimes. It is like the fuse is lite and we are now waiting for the explosion.

This may be just a Labor Day speech by the President ..... Wendel Goler is saying that he's addressing a labor union. I doubt that he would be making any HUGE announcements in that setting ...... though I would guess that he'll get in some licks at little tommy.

I'm not seeing the speech anywhere. What stations are covering it?

Supposedly FOX is going to ...... but apparently the alert was from a really jumpy FReeper ..... who hoped that something big was going to happen ...... but it turns out it's an address to a labor union in PA for Labor Day.

Off to the laundromat to dry/fold clothes and the Dollar Store to window shop. Later sweets.

I am really sick of people showing up on threads just to trash the thread.....what is the deal with this trend on FR.
A nice live thread on the President's speech....and people with agendas and chips on their shoulders show up to trash it..

You work for Vanderbilt? As in the school in Nashville?
You do know why they call the Vandy football team a "Cinderella team?"
Because they keep running away from the ball....

You answered your own question in part, Doggie. They show up just to trash the thread.
I think one problem with FR is that we used to all be united against x42 and his minions ...... now the vast differences among people who call themselves conservative are coming out and causing dissension.
What distresses me is that we still have a common enemy ..... many of them in fact ...... the 'Rats are still just as evil (and I am convinced that we are still fighting x42 and Crusty); the media has become the propaganda arm of the DNC; and, of course, there are The Evil Ones. It's really hard to distinguish between those three groups.
But many conservatives seem to prefer to eat their own rather than stay united to put a knife in the heart of the evil trying to destroy our beloved country!

WELCOME BACK!!!!! You talking about all the stuff you picked up reminds me when I was stationed in Alaska in the late 50's, I collected all kind of indian items, muckluks, eskimo YoYo's, ivory tusk carvings, a whole trunk full, including some small gold nuggets I panned for, me, and you know, when I sent it back home when I was discharged, it came up missing, never to be seen again, that stuff would be vaulable now, some cost me a lot then. I was assigned to travel with the USO tours, oh the tough duty it was, I went everywhere with them, small places, and smaller places. Someone had to do it.

Looks like Vandy's new coach is trying to impress some alumni by living up to and even surpassing Vandy's gridiron reputation.

Help, I am wounded!!!! went to the farm to cut the grass and got it half finished, tomorow if it is not raining I will finish it but, to my story, I get on the tractor, do my thing and the steering wheel rubs this great ole blister on my tummy. Yeah, I know, get some tummy off and that won't happen again. Anyway, I am putting in for a purple heart, wounded in the line of duty. Neighbors were dove hunting, doing pretty good and they invited me to hunt with them, I havn't done any hunting since the 70's and it does sound like fun, think I will take them up on the invite.

I had to laugh this morning at the Vol Report in the Knoxville News Sentinel. The local sports hacks are playing up MTSU like they're about to become a football powerhouse. Next thing you know, they'll be forecasting that the Tennessee Tech Mens team will win the NCAA.
