Hard-boiling eggs was discussed with his class members and none of them, including the girls, knew how to do it.Back when I was between wives, and dating, I found that NONE of the girls I dated knew anything about cooking anything, at all. They were generally in the 20-30 year age range.
And then there was Trill. I don't let her in the kitchen much, but she CAN cook. And we're teaching Bratling.
