Whew, I even nailed my calculator with coffee...lol..have fun Gran. I'm off to the Safeway to see if I can find some wonderful, crisp hard apples. Catch you later.

Thanks for the giggles, guys. ;-)

Good Afternoon All....I have finally arrived on line...am feeling a good deal better today, but now am really hungry, but have decided not to chance anything, and just wait until tomorrow to eat, resting my system for another day...

Tomorrow, we will be going to Commencement Bay up in Tacoma, and hit a few joints, to eat and drink and have some fun....altho we are near the Pacific Ocean, we are not really on it....tho all the cities are on bays...Seattle is on Elliott Bay, Tacoma is on Commencement Bay, and here in Olympia, we are on Budd Bay...

So being on so many different Bays, we have access to great seafood restaurants and pubs....good eats, meats, treats, and drinks....Yum, Yum....

AC and Gran...your pics are a feast for the eyes...such wonderful pics for our enjoyment...say, Gran, any new pics of that darling Chloe?...they grow so fast at that age, if you dont give us some new recent pics of that doll, she will be up and walking before we know it...

Poor BigDom just headed out for work...had to work today, tho, its just 8 hrs, which will seem like a picnic, compared to his usual 11 or 12 hr shifts...said last night, his shift, which normally takes 6 guys to do his particular operation, had only 2 guys...2 were on vacation, and 2 called in sick(right, those slakers wanted a very long Labor Day weekend)....so I guess it was pretty hectic on the post office loading docks last night, trying to get out the nations mail....

There is a general freeze on hiring at the post office, and the Tacoma post office where BigDom works has juggled workers around, sending a number of the lesser seniority workers north, to the facility in Kent...and they did away with all their casual workers....so the work force has been cut to the bone....

The PO seems to think its more cost effective to have no casual workers, hire no new full time employees, and just make the guys on the ODL(overtime desired list) really work tons of overtime...I guess they feel, that by not getting any new employees, and therefore not having to pop for benefits, they dont mind paying out lots of overtime...We certainly dont mind it, as it really allows BigDom to work almost as much overtime as he wants(he could probably work 7 days a week if he wanted)...but working too much, can be grueling...one does need time to play, and enjoy some of that money....

The weather today is cooler, and cloudier than yesterday, and we are going into a little cooling trend and may actually be getting a little rain, later into next week...ah, the fall weather, giving us a preview of things to come...

Hi - I was away from my computer when you came on and it is almost midnight here but I think I will post one more pic before I call it a night.

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better mom, I hope you have a great day tomorrow. Now that it is evening on the East coast the boys and girls should be showing up.

We sure do span the zones mom. In the picture there are two walls with a fifty foot river between them. The Spanish do wonderful stonework with real rocks.

I took all these pictures plus a lot more today - everywhere I look I can take a picture. I told my daughter the other day that on the way back from La Coruna I could have stopped thirty times to take pictures and still miss a lot.

We sure do hope to get to Spain someday...we do plan to travel in our RV...seeing the USA and CAnada and Mexico...

But being as BigDom has a military retirement, we will also get free military hops overseas, and also hope to take advantage of that....

We flew to and from Hawaii that way in 1986....just had to pay 10 dollars each way....of course, we had to fly on military planes, where room was available...going to Hawaii, we went on one of the planes they use for parachute drops...so we all got to sit in jump seats...but heck, I would have sat on the floor, for just 10bucks fare to Hawaii...

So we do envision getting over to Europe, via the USA military hops...
