Thanks. Jacob is only eight months old, and not very big. He is the happiest baby when he isn't sick. I can't blame him for screaming at the doctor, I think I'd do that too if I'd been what he's been through. :)

Thanks for the prayers, Miss Marple. I do appreciate it, and so does Jacob and his family.

When my oldest nieces and nephews were little, I'd always stock up on the Where's Waldo spaghettio's. They thought that was the coolest thing to eat at my house.

My daughter had several surgeries when she was little. She was a cleft palate. She got so that she wouldn't go near anyone who wore a name tag...even at the grocery. Little ones aren't stupid.

She is doing very well; and she now has both her passport and her visa in order and has ordered her group plane ticket ($640 round trip Chicago to Paris, plus train ride to Avignon. Not too bad!:)

Mom is doing okay.......she had cataract surgery on both eyes and can see much better......she hadn't realized how bad her eyes had gotten......

Still awaiting word on results of pulmonary function tests....there is "something" on one of her lungs.......either fluid or scar tissue or both.........they're still trying to figure it out.

18; every other week for the duration of the school year; with an option for another 18 next year if I choose.

Which I undoubtably will; it's going to take that long to un-learn all my bad habits and learn proper technique.:(

Warning to your daughter from my daughter: PICKPOCKETS.

Make sure she has a money belt to keep her traveler's checks and passport in. My daughter got into a fracas with a gypsy type guy in Paris...had to shove him away. (This I found out about AFTER the fact.)

BUT, my daughter loved Paris and wants to go back. It is a beautiful city. I will keep your daughter in my prayers.

Chambers Island, near Fish Creek. The Diocese owns a big chunk of it, and there is a beautiful, big retreat house up there.
