We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
US Airways Group became the first major airline to declare bankruptcy since the attacks of September 11, 2001.
Israel has announced they will not sit quietly in the event of an Iraqi attack in response to an American descent.
Authorities placed the Golden Gate Bridge on a "superheightened" state of alert yesterday as credible terrorist threats became known.
Algore may think he deserves another run for the Presidency, but he has had trouble where it counts - convincing donors he has that right. His ability to raise funds for another Presidential run has not been very good.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
How do you do this, and not take it home each evening?
When I liven in CT - my neighbor's cousin was Av Westin of ABC news. They (neighbors and AV) used to gather and discuss how great Stalin was.
It still gets me going just thinking about it.
:-) My impression of your post above is that you are quoting me here, and I never wrote that.
I couldn't write that.
If we disagree on the movie, so be it. I'm comfortable with that.
If CT liked it, that's fine.
Clara - Isn't that an exquisite poem, and the music we looked at matched it perfectly.
And your graphic above is great!
A gift you've given us, Molly ... simple words ... strung together ... forming images which soothe and comfort ...
I can not help but wonder what the music would sound like to accompany this ... flutes, maybe?! ... some oboes too, I am thinking ... a lovely and wistful violin in the background, I would expect ... and a piano playin' ... tinklin' in the higher notes ... maybe with a snare drum ... sounding out the movement of a little horse treading on snow ...
You see my dilemma ... I know NOTHING about music in an educated way ...
I was wondering if the poem would have been altered to fit the song which followed ... I like that it stays intact ...
Ok ... a deal's a deal ... tomorrow ... I will reveal how to grow corn in pots ... 3 ft. high stalks of sweet corn ... suitable for an urban garden ... and sweetly delicious ...
And, if you already know how to do this ... I will show you how to grow, step by step, David Austin Roses ... also, how to dry petunias ... and, lastly ... how to kill m-i-l tongues ... those spikey indoor plants which are scary ... HAR!
Thank you, Molly! ... Ok ... bubbles call ...
Ok ... really ... bubbles after callin' me ... I've lots to discuss with them ...
Okay...okay don't tease me on that one. *grins*
Nita...I want rain...now!!! Yes, the heat is getting to me, too. Ya know how I beat it this evening? I had vanilla ice cream for dinner AND chocolate ice cream for dessert. Ack!! I'm junk fooded out.
Prayers for Utah Girl's nephew, and for Species, who is dealing with things I cannot contemplate.
I cooked pork chops on the grill, and with it I made rice with peppers, onions, and tomatoes, regular old corn, and cole slaw. I also made SpongeBob macaroni and cheese dinner by Kraft for the grandkids. Everyone is fed, the kitchen is clean, and hubby has gone to represent a client at a zoning meeting. Cassie is taking a nap, and the three wild kittens have been fed.
I am enjoying the quiet.
Off to check the news...back in a bit.
