AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 567) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
August 10, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 08/10/2002 5:08:42 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

WorldCom's fraud has now hit $7 billion.

97, the junior Senator from New York, will donate money she received from indicted ImClone founder Sam Waksal to charity.

But not all of it. She received $33,000. She will donate $7,000 to an as yet to be named charity. The remaining $26,000 was already donated to the demonflop Senatorial Campaign Committee's New York Senate 2000 - which is a soft money account set up on 97's behalf. 97 suggested the Committee donate the $26,000 to charity - but conveniently the Committee remarked that the money had already been spent.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good morning Chairman, everyone!

A disgusting bit of local news:

2 young teen age boys were arrested last night in town for beating a 4 year old girl to death earlier in the week.

It seems like more and more, it's young children who are the victims of the most savage crimes, or attempts...

Good morning Chairman and ALL you wonderful people.

Guennie...pay very close attention when you watch signs. We saw it the other night. For me..it's one of those movies you must see more than once....of course maybe that's because I couldn't quite catch the dialogue.

Nita...you and Bit had a nice time I take it.....good.

Hehehehe...oh.... the corrections on this post...by the time I'm done...you'll all be in bed. Where's my coffee?

Men are such saps when it comes to those creatures. I know this guy who spent a good part of yesterday morning putting out tons of bird seed. Yesterday and today we were able to see the cute birds/rabbits and squirrels enjoy the benefits of Bit's generosity!!!

Bird and squirrel feeding are my husband's contribution to the garden. We have several birdfeeders, and he likes to walk around and fill them up.

I like to see the finches in bright yellow this time of year, with their distinctive flying pattern..sort of lots of mini-swoops, very fast. We have seen over the last few days cardinals, jays, and one hummingbird, as well as the usual doves, sparrows, and robins. We have a mockingbird that is one of my favorites...I saw him chasing a squirrel!

Oh.... if you only knew how many times in this house I have heard from Mr. lysander...."no more pets". While I stick to my guns...he's the one who can't resist our daughter's puppy dog. LOL

I'm back. Had to get some pastries and coffee for the First Lady. I can't believe I ran out of coffee either.

Btw, is this Bit or Nita?

GOOD MORNING ALL!

I'm going to be doing some antiquw shopping. There's an antuqur dealer who has a beautiful print of Grover Cleveland, If it was done while he was president it's well over 100 years old!

Cleveland is interesting because if his two terms not being consecutive. and for having the youngest first lady.

Frances Folsum married Grover Cleveland during his first term as president. He was 49 ans She was 21. most of their children were born in the White House. The Baby Ruth candy bar was named for their eldest daughter, Ruth, who was born in the White House.

There is an interesting story about Frances Cleveland telling the servants when she and Cleveland were leaving after being defeated by Benjamin Harrison in 1889 to keep everything as it was in the house as in four years time, the Clevelands would be returning, and sure enough, in 1893. Cleveland was sworn in for his second term. How's that for predicting the future, LOL!

Hope everyone has a great day today!

Well, we might end up with MORE pets. My daughter is thinking about moving home for her last semester, which means that I will have two cats here with her if she does.

She is thinking she could save some money so that when she graduates in January she will have a nest egg.

On the other hand, she might not, because she loves being in her apartment, which is close to the art school.

As usual, I am simply listening.

#18...gc, my daughter teaches at a Christian school.
..She teaches Bible, Biology, Algebra & I think, a Life Management course, this year.
..she's teaching Junior/Senior High this year.

She gets to teach her Life Management Course witht the emphasis on 'abstinence'.....and gets to show the developing stages of a baby ....a baby as a real person....valued at conception.

She can say Jesus or God without fear of consequence, and she is encouraged to tie creation to the lessons.

She's beginning her 8th year at this school, and loves it!

Were you two watching Monty Python for "fashion" tips for a future event? Hmmm.....

Sorry, couldn't resist! Was this the wedding dress you were looking for recently? She makes a lovely bride!
