And Good Morning to You! Great graphics!
It's almost lunchtime here in NY, the best part of Monday besides The Guild...and 5pm!

Rush was just talking about how Dubya stayed out of the Pa. mine rescue efforts, while Clinton would have barged in, shed a few fake tears, and taken credit for everything. LOL

Well, folks, I am quite embarrassed. I just came home from b-ball with a whopping shiner (thanks to my teammate's elbow hitting me in the cheek while we both went for a rebound), which wouldn't be so bad, except Mr. M and I are playing in a fancy corporate golf outing on Wednesday. I sure hope this fades significantly by then!

This sounds like job for yellow concealer and BE. :)

I think you're right. Do you think they could send that concealer by overnite delivery? We're leaving tomorrow afternoon to drive all the way across Pa. for this golf outing. (I really can't tell you how stupid I feel about this!)

I once had a shiner that I got from falling asleep on a bus and banging my head into a window, and I had to march down the aisle as a bridesmaid with it for all the world to see. Talk about embarrassing! I wore sunglasses as it was an outdoor wedding which probably made it look even dumber, everyone was calling me Stevie Wonder. Oh well, they got divorced anyway.

Things that make you go "hmmmm" - I just went to type in the password to one of my email accounts, and there was a little survey:

What is your marital status?
o single
o partnered
o married
o divorced
o widowed

Partnered?

Speaking of golf, my mother called me on her car phone all frantic. I could barely understand a word.

I finally figured out that she was going down the road and driving next to Tiger Woods. My mother lives in Palm Springs and Tiger is there for a tournement.

By the way, Tiger was driving a Buick.

Well, I probably was going to wear sunglasses all day anyway, so maybe it won't be so bad. Stevie Wonder, eh? Pretty funny. Whenever my mother forgets to change from her sunglasses to her regular glasses when she goes indoors, I call her Roy Orbison.

Any number of drug or department store corrective yellow concealers should work as a base under the BE. There are also concealers for scars etc. used after surgery. DermaBlend comes to mind (do they still make it?) but I think there are other brands, too. Any Guilders have ideas about this?

Must be that Battle at Bighorn thing with Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino and Sergio Garcia. For what Buick is paying Tiger, he sure better be driving one of their cars!

Corrective Concealing Info

I think Physician's Formula and Almay both make yellow concealers, they're not hard to find either. Mary Kay used to make it, but I'm not sure if they still do.

I used to use yellow and green concealors, but I have found that BE Bisque does a better job. But in a pinch, a little yellow or green will help.

Good afternoon all.

I'm just now getting on Free Republic. We were gone most of Sunday. We took the 2 grandsons to get baptized. WOO HOO! Oh happy day.

Today is grandson's #3's Birthday. he has requested Tacos for dinner and an ice cream cake.

We just got back from the store. It's hot and muggy out here, and I sure don't want to go back out today. Hubby is taking a much needed week long vacation. He and grandson #2 have begun to build a train lay out. Don't know what else we have planned for this week. Maybe we'll decide to go some where. But either way, here I am. Hope everyone is having a great day.

P.S. MiniT had the baby this week. Seems the baby is extremly happy to have the older sister there. He certainly misses his sibblings. I just pray this whole mess is over soon. Poor baby.

Hiya Teacup. Nice about your grandsons being baptized yesterday. How old are they?

We have a very interesting fellow here presenting seminars at church. He's head of communications dept at U of Hawaii and surprisingly is not an excellent speaker, but he has made a big difference in spirit for this congregation! Very empowering! Going back for last meeting tonight.

Our church is tiny but full of mighty prayer warriors. I'm humbled by their power and dedication.

Sounds like your life is coming up! Prayers for you and yours. I could use some, too. Especially since I have a new potential client that could be lucrative, but he and his wife want me to go to Middle East with them to help finish up their book. Scary but exciting. I need to pray over this before I decide. They spent half their lives there and have all the right connections, but I'm not sure any connections could guarantee our safety even if he can get visas. I didn't know anyone could get visa for Iraq, but you can under certain circumstances. I'd really LOVE to go, BUT!

I'm so sorry about your mishap! Hope you can find the concealer in time for your trip.

Seems my home state is in the news again. If there's some weird news, you can count on it being from NC.

Well, our Miss NC, Rebekah Revels (hence after to be known as Rebekah Reveals) has had to resign over a couple of nude photos. Our new Miss NC is...drum roll...drum roll...Misty Dawn CLYMER!

Here she is...Miss North Carolina

You have to feel sorry for all the Clymers in this world who don't know that their surname is a euphemism. Big time. (As if I had any room to make fun of anyone today, given the swollen and very purple appearance of half my face!)
