Timing Suspicious On Mysterious Suburban Crop Circles
Could Eerie Mystery Have To Do With Movie Release?
Is it a case of mysterious crop circles -- or an elaborate movie hoax?
A soybean farmer in Naperville said the broken, concentric rings that appeared in a field off Diehl Road left him scratching his head.
"Have you ever heard of something so crazy?" Steve Berning said. "Unbelievable."
Berning said the circles appeared last weekend and damaged more than 10 percent of his 8-acre field.
The circles do resemble similar ones seen in England, but in this case, the timing of their appearance in the western suburb is a bit suspicious.
Two weeks from now, "Signs" hits the big screen. The movie starring Mel Gibson involves -- you guessed it -- mysterious crop circles.
William Leone, an investigator with the Mutual UFO Network, said soil analysis could determine whether the circles have human or extraterrestrial origins.
But Illinois Farm Bureau spokesman Dennis Vercler scoffed at that idea.
"Since I don't believe in UFOs -- at least not soybean-destroying UFOs -- I have to assume whoever did this did it intentionally as a malicious prank," Vercler said.
Meanwhile, Berning doesn't seem overly upset about the circles.
"There's some damage, which upsets me," Berning said. "But I'm more curious than anything. I"ll always be asking questions."
Whoa! I know I'm late on this point but what did I miss here? You just map the 12 critical points and then 8 people could do it in an hour!???
I note that you could also map and mark the critical points weeks if not days in advance. Where's the difficulty here?
BWAAHAHAHAHAHA!
You map it out in advance. If it's bigger, you use more people. Precision lines marked with $2.00 lasers. What's so difficult here?
Delicious!
Then they travel billions of miles back to their own planet.
Well you see, they're very andvanced, and their propulsion systems let them do the round-trip in about thirty minutes. The aliens have nothing to *learn* from us: they just draw crop circles during recess (kids!) for their amusement.
Maybe they're only two inches tall and this is their way of communicating important messages like "take me to your leader (after this anal probe - yeehaw!!!)".
For one, that MIGHT be true. Additionally, we don't know exactly how far they'd have to travel, or what they'd be traveling through..
In other words, they don't have to be SPACE travelers.
And they MAY have been in touch with us throughout OUR own history, guiding events for some reason of THEIR own.
You're really into those "anal probes" aren't you? I'd think if they were only 2 inches tall the probe would feel sort of like a mosquito bite...
Your crew IS checking in, and yes, you and they DO arrive in an attempt to debunk certain phenonemon, crop circles amongst others.
Additionally, they aren't fantasies if they exist.
When they're not gutting cattle and molesting frigid housewives, that is...
BWAAHAHAHAHA! Now you're claiming you haven't been reading these posts?
You jump on "anal probes" but I notice that you haven't addressed my (entirely obvious) conjecture on the construction of complex crop circles!
Precocious little devils.
Nobody is disputing their existence, only their obvious origin.
Consider the Buddhist koan: "What will you will feel when you jump on an anal probe"
... and I'll check out your response over coffee tomorrow.
I'd really rather NOT jump on "anal probes" to be honest. Enlighten me, what exactly do you surmise concerning the construction of complex crop circles?
Now balrog, you appear to have anal probes on the mind. And as I surmised, your choice of words concerning jumping on an a anal probe was less than innocent.
