I don't understand how they got lost... Did the mom and kid take a walk following the "little argument" and after they were gone awhile the guy drove away? Did he take off, and then the mom decided to take the kid for a walk in the woods rather than walk on the road to get out of the park? Was the guy menacing, so she snuck off to the woods with the kid until he was gone - then discovered she was lost? There must be more to this story....

If it was any other guy .. he'd be out of jail in no time .. that is if he went to jail .. he just wouldn't get the press coverage
