Finally I have arrived...the son came in for a long visit, and so was tied up with him just until about an hour ago...he was in the area, mainly for fireworks last night, a bit south of here, with some of his old high school chums...then came back up to Olympia, to pick up his latest new girlfriend for an afternoon rendez-vous, so he thought he would stop in and see the old folks(Me and the hubby)...

And it gave us a chance to catch up with him, and give him his birthday present(Money, of course)....so we just barely had time left to feed the hubby, and get him ready to head out to work...

Yes, ACs flowers, sure did give us a nice compliment...thanks for telling me to roll my mouse over the flowers, to see our compliment...,That ACs a great guy...

Miss Lulu sounds like she had herself an enjoyable walkie, visiting the Mormon Center...she likes to scout out the whole area...

Glad that you are getting used to your 'kiln' kitchen....perhaps it does not need any lighter trim...you are the ones who can see it , so you and Bill be the judge...

Loddy, you are a neat guy, to have the meal ready, when Mrs. Loddy returns from work...

Grannie, your pic of the statuary is great...you sure have worked hard, to make your home quite a showplace...

Westy, how were the fireworks in your area...our whole neighborhood was exploding from about 9pm-11pm...it was the loudest yet...surprisingly the streets dont look too bad, with fireworks trash...perhaps this year, the kiddies picked up their garbage...I, for one, am glad its over until next year...Dizzy did not like the noise at all, hes a skittish kitty...so he spent the whole evening, hidden, and we know not where...finally he reappeared in the middle of the night, wanting pets and treats...poor guy, he just did not understand about all that noise...

Whew...sure hope I am caught up...

hi andysmom
I was wonderin' where you were
your son timed his visit perfectly that your hubby was still home and could enjoy the visit too
by miracle we did not have any fireworks, I was up in middle of night
and saw Happy lying at screen door and on other side the little kitten sitting there
and the two were communicating and enjoying each others company
sight for sore eyes
Love, Palo

That icebox looks like one (Minus wood finish) at an old farm near me. It used to belong to a local artist named Marie Zimmerman. Don't know if it will still work, though. No-one from the historical society or the F.O.M.Z. society has had the guts, or heart, to pull it out and hook it up. (F.O.M.Z. is the 'Friends of Marie Zimmerman' society, she died in '72 after the Tocs Island dam project fell through and the Delaware National Water Gap park began... (Illegally, without a charter))

hi chrissie
I went over and posted few political posts on that other website
if I have controversial ideas I don't like to say them on FR, cause I don't like to stir up posters
so I kept my ideas to myself
but that site seems to only have bout 13 posters now
I figure they're just glad to get any posts at all

when my access went down all I could do was email
could be he's having access problems
or it was so suspenseful for Steve to land safely (Steve had fire in balloon)
maybe westy is restin'

me too I looked all over for his nightlight when I was up in middle of night
I depend on it
when I couldn't find it, I thought maybe it's not middle of night
and I am out of my wits :)
Love, Palo

also I liek his little commentaries on what we're up to

Missing Westy's night light is the same as AC not posting the log.. It just isn't right or normal...

Well, the one I spotted has the precursors to the freezer coils on the back of the fridge.. only inside. And it hooks up to electric.. other than that, it looks just like the one you have. Kinda neat, odd.. old. Like I said, don't know if it works.

Been too hot for me to go online lately, so I've been laying doggo. Today it finally got cooler.. so here I dropped by.

My word - roll, Mom roll. Great goodness - that is the hugest ice box I've ever seen! Ever.

Who knows what it would be worth at the right auction?

I know Loddy.. We've checked out some small ones and this one has to be worth a lot.. It is the biggest we've ever seen for an antique..
