Other than Badjoe's, no.. My butt is killing me right now too.. Maybe we should roll on the floor a little and spread out the hurt.. Better yet, I think I'll hit the mattress..hard..with no dumps or dips beforehand.. ;)

Its not what most would consider comfy, but I sit on a hard metal chair, one of the folding types...think the hubby got a bunch of them, from the military, when they were getting some new ones and throwing the old ones out...
I have a regular computer chair, (it was the sons), but I dont care for it...just like my hard metal folding chair, for some odd reason...

We are having fireworks going on for a few hours now...not so much the pretty fireworks, because its still light out, but there are plenty of firecrackers going off...
The kids are getting giddy, in anticipation of the big night...its going to be a nightmare for the scared doggies..

Still Floatin' ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, JULY 2, 2002, 8:00 p.m. CDT (JULY 3, 2002, 01:00 UTC) As Steve Fossett proceeds toward the shores of Ceduna, Australia, forecasts still predict that the Bud Light Spirit of Freedom balloon will cross the coast at 4:30 UTC tomorrow morning and that landing will occur inland later around 8:00 UTC. Half way around the world, Mission Control at Washington University in St. Louis is still being manned around the clock, closely following Fossett's moves to help him safely finish out his flight.
This is part of last Email I recieved from mission control..

Now that you mention it, I do remember reading about Steve being from Chicago....
Actually, firecrackers here are illegal...however, you can go down to the Reservations, and buy all the illegal stuff you want...
And the police dont usually bother with catching kids with firecrackers...because by the time someone might call the police, the kids run away, or they are done for a while with their firecrackers...
Heck, my own kids had firecrackers, and one year, my husband made me really mad, because he went and bought a 1/4 stick of dynamite....they dont sell those things out in the open, even at the reservations...
You have to look for one of the guys sitting in his car, behind the fireworks stands...he sits in the car, you get into the car, tell him what you want, pay him, and he give you your stash...kind of like buying drugs...

I use metal folding chair too loddy
tho oki swears by badjoe's chair
do you know how to swim
can't you swim for half an hour each day
that would relax your back
you can just float around if you want
the bouyancy of water is healing

lol the blackmarket is always alive and well :)
To: palo verde
It sure is....those fireworks stands down on the reservations, are always packed...they make a lot of money on all those fireworks..
They make really good money on those 1/4 and 1/2 sticks of dynamite...my husband bought that one 1/4 stick of dynamite, many many years ago, and it cost him $15 dollars for that thing...
$15 for just one big blast, is a waste of money to my mind, but my husband wanted to see what it sounded like...and he set it off way out in the woods, away from all other people...that way, he would not hurt anyone...
But it was a funny sight, to see him racing out of those woods, as fast as he could to get as far away as he could, before that thing went off...

hi coockie
I'm not into loud noises now but there was a time I would have been thrilled to set off stick of dynamite
I don't think $15 is high for that thrill
altho back on Lcom roundtable
when lucianne asked all of us what we would do if we were handed million dollars
one poster said he'd put it all on one roulette toss
''imagine the rush you'd feel'' he said
million dallars seems high price for few minutes thrill lol
but it's his million :)
