I think I was on L.com two years ago...I have had my computer for about 3 1/2 yrs, but cannot remember exactly when I went onto L.com...but I am sure it was at least two years ago...
Tomorrow is my Andys birthday..he will be 28yrs old...just told him, when next we see him, will give him some money for his birthday...he can buy himself whatever he wants...its really been hard to buy him anything since hes been about 16...he just likes the money so he can go out, and get what he wants...that works for me...hes happy, and I dont have to run around trying to guess what he might like...
I think Grannie said that one of her boys was also born on July 2nd...
It hardly seems possible that I had him 28yrs ago...seems like not that long ago, I was hollering for the doctor to get him out of me, so he would stop kicking me so much, and brusing my insides...

Every so often, I read some of the threads and replies on L.com...the only poster, I still recognize from those very early days, is JanineC...perhaps there are others, I just dont go back there but once in a while, to see what is going on...

I didn't know bout hanging out on site
so I didn't get to know the posters till that summer

Lake Ontario, and this area mostly, has a terrible problem with algae and its because of the zebra mussel that eats and filters the water so much that sunlight penetrates so deeply now that algae grows at a rate it never did.And then it begins to float to the surface in enormous great lily pads.It truly looks like a oil slick and clings to the shoreline, then begins to stink.And does it stink!!It stays all summer amd the Province now has to hire crews to scrape the scum off the shorline and haul it away.
So, when the water is high and clear like it is now, then the algae is just growing at a fever pitch down below.

I found Lcom through a link on Drudge to Lucianne.Then i began to listen to her radio show as well.It was short, and to the point, and very witty with lots of good sharp humour.
When I go back now, I don't even recognize most of the posters from even a year ago.Caprine, Mrs M, Mab2, MotherCo,StandingWolf, Sgt Rotweiler,MousyMick,Old PhoneMan,Daphne,JanineC, and several others are the ones I still recognize.They are a very close bunch and aer tight knit especially on the RT weekends.

I live in a town on the lake, a burb of Toronto.Its 20 miles west of the city.But this town isn't so tiny anymore...now have a pop of 140,000 ;-)

You are right, OldPhoneMan and OldPhoneLady are posters I also remember well...
Does GOPGal still post on L.com?...I always liked her responses..she was no nonsense, straight to the point...I always got a big kick out of her...

Speaking of Coke...I got my first 12 pack of the new Vanilla Coke yesterday, and tried it out this morning...it is good...I prefer Coke to Pepsi, always have...
Sometimes when I want a Cherry Coke, I just have a regular coke, and add marachino cherry juice to it...good for a change of pace, just like the Vanilla Coke...
