I think it was late at night when I was coming home from work
I had little job selling the tickets and chocolate bars in off broadway theater in greenwich village
on sheridan square
the play was gospel play I think
I dressed very nicely for my job, heels, stockings, suit and pretty blouse

Looks like the evening will be nice...no more rain today, so far, and its actually somewhat sunny...

I never did get to the grocery store today...will go to a few stores tomorrow, in search of goodies for the July 4th holiday, soon upon us...there will be patriotic plants, and patriotic miscellaneous items, and I am looking for a special patriotic bear for Miss Palo...hope they have not sold out of them...or I shall have to fuss...

Just got finished drinking my 76th drink and losing Phase 10.. Too damned drunk to remember who won.. lol.. Devin and Dyan are sleeping overnight. No driving for my poopsie girl tonight..

Lulu is lounging herself on her pink and green rug
she looks perfectly happy
it wasn't as hot today as yesterday
it went down to 96
so everyone had easier time
we had nice walk in morning cause I was able to go out so early with her
she enjoyed it so much!

Grannie...you sound like you are having a grand time...stuffed peppers, rolls, getting sloshed on lots of drinks, and kids staying overnite...it all sounds too divine...

My dads sister, who is my Aunt Helen, told me that all men think lots about sex, even when they are old, and sick and dying...I remember one week before he died, my dad was in the hospital for some treatment

I had gone home to Washington for a visit with my hubby and family...when I returned I did not realize that my dad had only one week left to live...I came straight from the bus station, to the hospital...when I got there, my dads face lit up, and he said he had something to tell me...

AT this point, he could not speak very loud, so he wanted me to put my ear next to his mouth...here is what he said..."I screw a lot"...It was all too funny and surreal...

Here he was, sick and dying, and this important bit of new he had to share with me, was about his sex life...how odd...

But my aunt, who has buried three husbands, assured me, that this was normal behavior....

I remember having chicken pox as little kid
my mom put calamine lotion all over me
I guess they use something different now
it was before we had tv, so my mom had to spend a lot of time reading stories to me (I was into fairy tales then)

I dont know if they use anything different, besides calamine lotion, for chicken pox or not...I used calamine on both my boys when they had chicken pox...

I never had the chicken pox, not as a kid, and I never caught it as an adult from my boys...

I did have regular measles, when I was a little girl, and I remember being awfully sick...I got mumps on one side of my face, when I was about 16, tho, and did that ever hurt...

But now she is settled in with her Bill, so all is well...
