I dont know if they use anything different, besides calamine lotion, for chicken pox or not...I used calamine on both my boys when they had chicken pox...

I never had the chicken pox, not as a kid, and I never caught it as an adult from my boys...

I did have regular measles, when I was a little girl, and I remember being awfully sick...I got mumps on one side of my face, when I was about 16, tho, and did that ever hurt...

Calamine lotion was packed in every boy's trunk that went away to summer camp.After two weeks in the Quebec woods, the skeeters and black flies made a bottle a necessity.
