This parts almost finished. I still have to plant my fountain. OH no.. I haven't any plants for it.. Oh, hell in a hand basket, back to the store.. Now we have to wait until they get big and bloom.. On to step three and four...and five and six......

Now THAT pic is straight out of House and Garden magazine! If the roof and house didn't look familiar, I'd think you were trying to razzle dazzle us. You did a swell job, considering how big and pg you are, hell in a hand basket. What an inviting spot to have a cuppa.

you gave us pretty flowers today

Morning, Palo. I just heard on the radio that Show Low residents will be allowed to move back home today. That's certainly good news.
Also read that how Show Low got its name - two men decided the town wasn't big enough for the both of them so one of them pulled out a deck of cards and said, "If you can show low, I'll move". Do you suppose that's true in this wild, wild West??? LOL LOL

What a link Captain, what a link Sorry loddy didn't have much time this morning to find
anything better. I didn't intend to gross you out.

Good morning DD folk.
Day 10 and baby Billy is still missing.
His mom has found dad's notebook with
satanic/black magic scribblings in it.
Discouraging news from NorthCarolina.
Prayers for Billy's safe return home.

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, JUNE 28, 2002, 8:00 a.m. CDT (JUNE 28, 2002, 13:00 UTC) -- After crossing the Prime Meridian in the last hour, Steve Fossett and the Bud Light Spirit of Freedom are 250 nautical miles (287.5 miles) southwest of Bouvetoya, the most isolated island in the world; the nearest land of any kind is approximately one thousand miles away. Bouvetoya is inhabited by over 20,0000 penguins of various types, and is also home to several mysteries including the alleged detection of a nuclear bomb detonation in the area, for which to this day no nation has claimed responsibility.Since I know your day hasn't begun yet, I'll post this just because Steve Fossett is now over 2/3 of the way on his trip solo around the world. Wow - Bouvetoya is one far out island. And a nuclear bomb detonation that no one claims???? I didn't know that....did you know that??????

I have a lot of vines planted to cover the fence, and come up from some of the pots and up the house.. Hope they all take.. Need a couple small trellises... Those are just some of the plants I have left to put in.. ;(

hi cookie
I always guessed Show Low got its name from the poker term
but I never heard the story
Love, Palo
card playing was big in AZ cause it was mining state
I read that is why Wyatt Earp came out here
he was sick of sheriffing in Dodge City
and took stage out here with his brother to open up card playing joint
he wanted to be businessman
seems the shootout at ok corral ruined his ambition
I think he went up to Alaska after that to pan for gold
I heard he was big reader
when the boat to alaska started to shake rattle and roll
he stayed in his bunk and read
he refused to get nervous
I guess they had big storm

I don't think I ever did spitballs
my boy cousins did them when my aunt took us all to see ''annie get your gun'' in new york
when I was 6 years old
I was entranced with the play
it was my first play
but they sat in balcony and did spitballs at the stage
when I visited them
they lived in 5th floor apt
the activity was dropping water balloons on people who passed by below
I'm sure I did it too
don't know why I never got into spitballs
seemed like more of a boy thing
they did teach me how to flip baseball cards
I got pretty good at it (not fantastic)
jacks was really my thing
To: grannie9

pink door is nice touch
To: grannie9

To: Kathleen
lol I haven't pressed weird link yet

quite soothing to read after bumpy day
the boys did spitballs in my classes in elementary school
did priest let them do it in catlic school ??
To: palo verde

To: grannie9
You lover them Jude..? How odd you are... tsk tsk.. idiot.
To: palo verde
LOL.. I did spitballs, water balloons, (still do them) set the woods on fire.. peeked in windows on second floors.... I DID everything.. No wonder, even today, I keep getting put in jail.. I'm not good.
To: grannie9
That's a magnificent tree on the other side of the house. And your hanging baskets are lush balances until the vines and new plantlings grow up more. Bravissima!!! (and thanks for posting beauty on DD.)
