This decision may have some merit but NOT for the stupid reasons stated..."international pressure, national consensus", where the heck is that in the Constitution? This is a States Rights issue!
As Britt Hume asked, "does this mean because there is increased national support for rights to own fire arms that all the anti gun legislation passed in the past decade should be overturned?" I would argue YES!

The "international pressure" bit is the worst! I just don't get that! Is the Supreme Court going to roll over and let international courts have supreme jurisdiction in America next? How can anything be more unconstitutional than allowing such nonsense to be considered in the Supreme Court?

It is more of the slow, steady, continuous erosion of the greatest document ever written concerning the governance of man.
So why don't we just get rid of the Supreme Court and just have a bunch of pollsters making decisions? This is teeth-grinding frustrating.

On a happier note...at about 0635, on Saturday, the little wifey and I will be elated to be stepping off a Delta flight from Santiago to Atlanta, GA. I will wait for a moment when no one is observing and kiss the ground...not totally unlike the Pope when he gets off a plane. I have not been home for over a year!

I'm going to try to find one of those breakfasts that Loddy keeps posting pictures of.
