this is interestin' topic
remember that UPS strike
it is cause the new thing is to hire workers but to call them ''part time''
that way company doesn't have to give them any benefits
and the pay is less
so they have to work on their days off to get the extra money
it is not fair to employees

on the other hand GM closed a plant cause it wasn't making money and GM workers went on strike
that wasn't fair to GM
they're allowed to close a plant which isn't making money

How far from Lloret are you located?

One of our best weeks, was spent there, and the surrounding area.
I played golf daily, while the other five members of our clan shopped, swam, and did whatever it was they did.

We drove from Madrid in a Citroen and the only instructions were to be sure and buckle up.
I spoke more Spanish than the lessor spoke English, with our hands and much pointing we got the deal done.

Met LOTS of Brits on the golf course, and played several times with an old couple. He was a German soldier in WWI who bailed out on the Kaiser, grabbed a hottie in France, and made his way down to Lloret.
They only played nine holes in the morning, claiming that anything over eighty degrees was unhealthy for them.
I let them know that eighty degrees in the summer in Texas would be considered a cool front.

We all enjoyed our time in Spain. ;-)

Good afternoon all...I see DD is returning much to normal with the heart and spirit of the ever great Palo...shes all worn out from the Thon, and needs to relax...she chills out very well, pushing ice cubes down her dress...

I did not say what Grans extra activities with Westy were, just said that she had extra activities with him...its up to all to deduce what those activities were...

Now that whirlwind Gran is threatening to puncture my RV tires, so I cannot visit the famous Lulu..whatever am I to do?

Well, wont be here long today, have things to do, and then this evening we are heading out for the FishTale pub, to make beer selections, and have an appetizer, and get a growler of beer...

Then its on to Apollo Pizza, for more beer and some pizza...Its hard work, dontcha know, but someone's got to do it...

Palo, thanks for all the current Lulu reports today...I like to pretend I am her email mommy, and like a mom, I must know what she is up to...shes a Hero, and a smashing good looking gal to boot..

i>How far from Lloret are you located?

Hii Loddy - I am right across the other side of the country from Lloret de Mar which is north of Barcelona on the Mediterranean side. The Costa Brava is a great place for holiday makers from Europe the British, Scandinavians and Germans love that area and are guaranteed plenty of sun.

Sada, where I live, is about 15 kms from La Coruña which is in the northwest on the Bay of Biscay, about 100 Kms from Finisterre. The only tourists we get here are the Spanish mainly because we are way out in left field and our weather is milder than the South or West coasts. That means we still retain the Spanish ways not having been corrupted by contact with the barbarians from the other side of the Pyrenees

Mex 1..
In case you didn't see this. You have 1000+ miles of this from Tijuana to Cabo San Lucas. This is Baja's freeway and not all of it is on the flat like in the pic. Notice 2 lanes and in most places NO shoulders. Not all that many places to pull off to take pics or change tires or pee...It is all one big adventure. You either love it or hate the whole mess...lol..I think I should have breakfast....BBL...

That road looks like fun...I love trips which turn into wild and wooly adventures...those are the ones you remember fondly, more fondly than you probably felt when you were on them...
