Ruins of school house at El Marmol..
El Marmol was an onyx mining site. This school house is built of onyx. Someone tried to restore it, but the last time I saw it, it was in far worse shape than in the pic....Sad...

More ruins at El Marmol..
El Marmol was a big operation at one time..The onyx was freighted to the coast, loaded on boats and shipped to Alta California. There it was mad into all sorts of objects..Plastics killed the whole operation. Last I knew only a little is being mined by the people of Rancho Sonora and made into wind chimes...Again a sad story..

It waited for it's prey to come by, it's leather upholstry tempting it's vitcims to their doom. Waiting with it's siren song of comfort and relaxation to lure some weak willed to take a seat... Suddenly they are stuck! The chair won't let them go! Slowly it starts it's feeding process.. the victim feels their legs and arms grow weak as the chair saps their strength. Then it devours their soul once they are asleep and defenseless....
And everyone thought that barcaloungers were harmless luxuries.

Sad to see those buildings going to ruin...too bad they cannot somehow be restored, to what they formerly were...

I just clicked on to the eagle website, as I had not been there for a while...the eaglettes are huge...I bet soon, they will be taking flight...check them out, I am not sure how much more time they will be with us...

That story almost sounds like the fight my kitty cat had with our recliner this week...he got stuck in its innards, and was yowling for the longest time, before I heard him...he was afraid of that marauding recliner for a day or so...it just ate him up...

My two fav cars that were mine, were my 65 Navy Blue and Red Mustang.. and my Metallic Green 67 souped up Mustang.. Wow.. were they honeys.. I totaled one.. and my son totaled the other.. The 67 was totaled the day I had a new paint job on it when my son took it to drive his friend home a mile away.. I'll tell you.. I hated that kid for two weeks...I never even got to sit in it after the paint job.. But, they were both two snazzy Momma's... sigh
