More ruins at El Marmol..

El Marmol was a big operation at one time..The onyx was freighted to the coast, loaded on boats and shipped to Alta California. There it was mad into all sorts of objects..Plastics killed the whole operation. Last I knew only a little is being mined by the people of Rancho Sonora and made into wind chimes...Again a sad story..

Sad to see those buildings going to ruin...too bad they cannot somehow be restored, to what they formerly were...
