Moose, Cheese, Showers... other "Freepisms"

Okay - everybody - lets have a thread that not only lists, but EXPLAINS the origin and meaning of all these "freepisms" that are constantly showing up in this forum.

I expect you "old timers" to chime in and offer your wisdom.

Let's start with the infamous "moose", and "cheese" comments, along with the "time for a shower" - and many others that are out there.

I know that there are several threads that individually address these 'sayings' but let's put everything together into one nice "library".. OKAY?

Re: the picture at Post #11: Some wag on the Dose last night put Chelsea's face in place of a model wearing an Yves St. Laurent wedding dress. Someone had posted the dress on a Guild thread a while back and we all got a big laugh about it because the dress is so STOOPID! But in the chatting about Chelsea's possible upcoming nuptials, someone posted this. Kinda cute, huh? Looks like something she'd wear!

One day someone posted a really stupid one-line vanity thread. Out of nowhere, OWK said he really liked cheese. I chimed in with the Cheese Shop sketch from monty python, and then someone -- going along the monty python theme -- posted the opening to Monty Python and the Holy Grail. That contains the moose references.

OWK and I are guilty.
