Moose, Cheese, Showers... other "Freepisms"

Okay - everybody - lets have a thread that not only lists, but EXPLAINS the origin and meaning of all these "freepisms" that are constantly showing up in this forum.
I expect you "old timers" to chime in and offer your wisdom.
Let's start with the infamous "moose", and "cheese" comments, along with the "time for a shower" - and many others that are out there.
I know that there are several threads that individually address these 'sayings' but let's put everything together into one nice "library".. OKAY?
