Now that you mention it, does seem like it was a slow night...it was so hot during that day(about 120), perhaps the gents were waiting until it cooled down some, tho I would have thought the motel had air conditioning...

Those gals were grinning at my dad, I suspect, because they knew before he did, that he had made a mistake...Its one thing for a married man to frequent a prostitute, its quite another to bring your whole family along...

We will never know exactly what dad said...he got out of the car, did converse with the girls, but I never remember him telling us the real jist of their conversation...actually dad got a kick out of the whole incident....he liked it, when odd things like that happened...

One time dad was on his way to work...he worked graveyard shift at the Sunbeam Company in Chicago, and he had to drive through some pretty rough neighborhoods

Dad says he was stopped at a stoplight, when a 'lady of the evening' hopped up on the hood of his car, tore open her jacket, revealing that she had nothing on underneath, and written across her chest was the price...$15.00...Dad says he just tipped his hat and said 'No thanks lady, I am on my way to work'....she was not pushy, just hopped back off his car...

But the next morning at breakfast, dad had this story to tell us...

He really did love incidents like these, I suspect, to break up the mundane world of going to work, and trying to make it in this world....he just found incidents like this to be fun...dad was a fun, fun guy...

We learned a great deal about life, from dad...mom was more closed mouthed, but dad was a great talker, and never afraid to discuss anything...we kids thought he knew everything, and he never did disappoint...

Well, I have never been to Oz, and probably will never get there...but my son loved Oz, when he was there...said the people there are some of the best travelled people hes ever met...they know how to party and have a good time, but also know how to appreciate cultural sights....and they are all big drinkers, especially the women...can drink just about anyone under the table

and they can take the wind out of just about anyone who is acts too self important, and that includes themselves...

My son would dearly love to work in Oz for a few years...I need to forward him this brothel website...he will, I am sure, be amused by it...of course, I will be quite a horrified mom, if he tells me he was there...
