she's sleepin' like slug under windowsill
with ears coverin' her eyes
she was so happy to be in Park
To: palo verde
LuLu is a happy girl now, she got to go to the park...I bet she looks so cute, sleeping with her cabbage leaf ears covering her eyes...thats quite a talent the bassets have...certainly no people, and very few animals can sleep with their ears over their eyes...
My bassety material should be arriving any day now...then I have to find my sewing machine, which I think is buried out in the garage...will have to go out there and find it...then when I get the urge, I will sew up some pillows and the Palo will have a bassety pillow(Now who gets that pillow, you or Lulu?)
To: andysandmikesmom
from my window
I get to see Lulu on outside couch with head on pillow
it sure is tempting to want to sit here posting on DD
while watching Lulu on her bassety pillow
but if pullow is cute I'll want it for myself
she curls up next to me in bed, we can share
thanks andysmom, you are sweetheart
To: palo verde
Well, as long as you both share with each other...Now the hunt begins for my sewing machine...I havent used it in a couple of years, so I hope it still works...if not, I will have to buy a new machine...and then find the time to sew the pillows...but rest assured, it will eventually get done, and Palo and Lulu will have a nice bassety pillow...

Stewart and Bell....They are two streets in downtown Seattle. Don't know if they are by the WA. Mutual Building or not or why the two birds were named after the streets..But there you have it....lol..Have finished breakfast, maybe I should go get cleaned up...bbl.

hi westy
I was curious how they got their names
falcons sound so exotic, you'd think they'd name them after Egyptian gods
not streets in downtown Seattle
but I like the names
they sound so Flushing :)
they'll prolly name the babies Sheldon, Seymour, Milton, and Sherry
(those were names of kids in my class in 6th grade)

He lives in the creek near me called Rutger's Creek. He first made an appearance in 2000. He had quite a bit of fun chasing the fish and annoying the crayfish. He squeaked at the German Shepard that lives near where I saw him and scared her away. (She doesn't to like things that swim and squeak, I guess.) When i spot him, I'll let you know. The creek does get deeper further downstream and has larger fish, so he could be over two more 'branches' where the deep water is. (Last I saw him though, he was having fun in the shallows by the little bridge here.) He was just a little one, probably less than a foot long. Only a baby, I guess. He's been here two years in a row, so he has to be able to be on his own. I never saw a second one, just him. And since I wasn't the only one to spot him, I know I wasn't seeing things. (About ten people spotted him. Pretty good for a small town.) Don't have a good camera on hand, though. It needs it's lense cleaned thoroughly by a professional.

Hi guys.. the puter guy just left.. My wallet is a lot lighter now, but the thing is running pretty good with all the updates etc.. Will try and check in after we get back from dinner... Actually, I just bought a new puter..but it's still the old one.. whew!!
To: palo verde
Well, knowing I have until the Mass Awakening eases my mind...but they hubby wants me to get his pillows done(I have fishing material for him)...so I suppose sometime in the next few weeks, I will have to abandon my computer, and get to work on the sewing machine...
To: andysandmikesmom
The sewing machine was laying in wait for it's prey, it's bobbins salivating multi-colored thread in anticipation. It's speed control pedal quivered nervously as it's needle moved impatiently. Suddenly it spotted an unsuspecting shirt laying peacefully on the 'mending' pile.
*It sprung!*
The shirt was caught! It struggled mightily, but was overpowered by the 'active grip' dogs on the sewing machine's plate. The needle hummed to life and the shirt was done for. The thread stitched viciously in and out of the shirt as it twitched it's death throes!
Victorious, the sewing machine hummed over it's gruesome booty. Then waited for it's next victim....

I'm glad your puter is runnin' fine now chickie
guess what, my wallet is lighter now too
bank said they paid all my bounced checks
but everyone who got one
is having me pay them for it too
bank took $500 of my money to pay them
but I'm sittin' here writing out checks now, cause they said they weren't paid
such is life
Love, Palo
To: Darksheare
You surely can do some great writing...I will never look at my sewing machine in quite the same way again...I always imagined the machine to be something I operated by my own will, but now somehow, I will imagine that there is a spirit in the machine, bending my will to its own....
