hi westy
I think I have the link
I'm going there now
thanks sweetie

red eggs, wow
To: palo verde
I think for some animals, it just makes them feel more secure and loved when they know they have special stuff that is theirs...it takes so little for us to make them feel secure, and they give us so much back...

Cool Westy ...saw the two red eggs...I did not know that their eggs were going to be red...I like the variance in colors of eggs with different birds...my cousin in California has chickens..I am used to white and brown eggs coming from chickens, but this particular breed of chicken that my cousin has, lays greenish-blue eggs...
It is going to be really exciting when this falcon website goes live...

I just saw the falcon and the two red eggs
the falcon is a beauty
those feathers!
it's a different experience than visiting the eagles high up in their nest
pristine wilderness is special
here the falcon seems domesticated and I don't find her nest nearly as thrillin'

I think, and Westy can correct me, but I think the Falcons have actually set up their nest in Seattle on one of the ledges of the buildings in downtown Seattle...
I agree, the setting and scenery of the eagles nest is much more pretty and exciting because its up in the big trees..to me there is nothing exciting about big tall buildings....
But wherever these birds decide to build their nests, the really exciting part is watching the eggs hatch and the babies grow...and hopefully take successful flight...

Falcon usually nest on cliffs. These two picked a window ledge on an office building. To help them out the falcon people provided the box with gravel in it. The eggs are more secure in box than on ledge. the gravel is for drainage....

maybe I'll amble 'bout site a bit and check out the news
I haven't looked at news for past few days
last I looked it looked like mass insanity to me
yikes! what a time we are livin' in
tho things are peacerful here in Tucson
and watchin' the eagles bed down at nightfall always reassures me God is good

hi westy
your post makes me feel better
at first when I saw it, it looked like scientists' joint
I thought falcons were in captivity
from your post I realized falcons chose funny place (office window ledge)
and scientists were lovely to help them out
rofl I wonder why falcons chose office window ledge, maybe they like bein' close to people

yes, andysmom, where eagles are is wild windswept beauty
it always takes my breath away to see eagles in nest
office building in downtown Seattle is more civilzed
but the falcons are beautiful, and I can't wait to watch the falcon babies arrive
we are gonna have such a happy spring

Time for me to go...Dizzy can stand my being on the computer for just so long...always around this time of the evening, he gets itchy and naggy with me, and I can tell he wants my undivided attention so that I can brush him, and scratch him, and hold him and rock him and feed him his special kitty treats
Hes a big spoiled fur ball, but I love him, and must give him some time...because when he gets mad, he will 'pee' where he should not, instead of using his liter box...One time the hubby and I were gone all day long, and I guess Dizzy was mad because he left a load on the bed, as if to say, sh!t on you....so I had better go now...
C U all tomorrow...
