I just saw the falcon and the two red eggs
the falcon is a beauty
those feathers!
it's a different experience than visiting the eagles high up in their nest
pristine wilderness is special
here the falcon seems domesticated and I don't find her nest nearly as thrillin'

I think, and Westy can correct me, but I think the Falcons have actually set up their nest in Seattle on one of the ledges of the buildings in downtown Seattle...

I agree, the setting and scenery of the eagles nest is much more pretty and exciting because its up in the big trees..to me there is nothing exciting about big tall buildings....

But wherever these birds decide to build their nests, the really exciting part is watching the eggs hatch and the babies grow...and hopefully take successful flight...

Falcon usually nest on cliffs. These two picked a window ledge on an office building. To help them out the falcon people provided the box with gravel in it. The eggs are more secure in box than on ledge. the gravel is for drainage....

maybe I'll amble 'bout site a bit and check out the news
I haven't looked at news for past few days
last I looked it looked like mass insanity to me
yikes! what a time we are livin' in
tho things are peacerful here in Tucson
and watchin' the eagles bed down at nightfall always reassures me God is good
