I love your pic of the ranunculus plants...I think they are one of the most lovely spring flowers, because as you say, they look like big fat roses...and they came in such a wide range of colors, and have so many buds and flowers on one plant...they are joyous...

Yes, indeed they do...I expect, when I go to the store this weekend, hopefully they will have some ranunculus plants there...first come the primroses and pansies, daffodils, crocus...and then the ranunculus...Now my gardeners fingers are just itching to get some of them into the ground...for all the bright colors, which I love, my favorite ranunculs is the very, very light pink...I think they are just wonderful..

Lucky you to be able to find them already in plants...I can only find the "bulbs" which look kinda funny, plus you have to soak them in water before planting..but they are well worth the effort.

I sure enjoyed your tale to meema 'bout the Chicago picnic
She's an Illinois gal too, isn't she
Bill took Happy on lovely car ride to make it up to him 'bout no walkie
He invited me and Lulu
Happy always hops right into back seat, he likes bein' chauffeured
Usually I sit next to Bill, and then get stuck with a heavy, squirming Lulu on my lap
This time I got in back with Happy to let Lulu have front seat to herself
Don't ask me why she rode standing up, facing the wrong way
and when car stopped, fell on top of Happy's sore paw
Happy finally got disgusted with her squirming all over backseat and hopped into front seat
he tried to put his head on Bill's lap which changed position of shift (?)
luckily we were on sideroad without traffic when car sputtered out
it wouldn't start again at first and we all had to pray car would start, we were in middle of nowhere
the beauty of what we saw later made me forget the bumps along the way
I don't know if Lulu and I will be invited again tho ?
