President Trump’s war against Iran has depleted U.S. weapons stockpiles to troubling levels, siphoning supplies from Asia and Europe, according to senior officials.
The rapidly shrinking supply of air-defense missiles and other critical weaponry in Europe and Asia not only leaves the U.S. military less equipped, but could also leave Russia and China feeling emboldened should they contemplate a potential conflict with the United States, experts said.
Bombing Iran burned through thousands of multimillion-dollar missiles that contain precision parts from a global web of suppliers and can take years to produce. Defending against Iran’s retaliatory barrages has worn down U.S. stocks of air-defense missiles to an extent that has privately alarmed top officials in the Trump administration and has led to the United States’ delaying deliveries to European and Asian customers.
The Iran campaign has forced the Pentagon to rush ships, aircraft and air-defense units from across Europe and Asia to the Middle East, an effort with cascading consequences for equipment maintenance and troop morale, U.S. officials said. The result is a significant erosion of American firepower in those regions, a shift with long-term implications that are a growing concern in the military and intelligence communities, senior U.S. and Western officials said.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, said the United States has “more than enough firepower to carry out any operation the president orders at any time and place.” But experts say the munitions crisis — part of which Mr. Trump inherited from President Joseph R. Biden Jr. — is almost certain to outlast his presidency.

It’s precisely because I don’t want a repeat of that Trump would be best served to just end this whole mess with Iran ASAP.
The longer he dithers, the more likely the Dems win in November.
Since it’s been made more than abundantly clear that our ability to project military force has been rendered less than adequate, he needs to just leave.
That doesn’t apply to what I was saying, I was suggesting that your war plan be based on the the full range of your entire military rather than one single form of ammo (missiles), hopefully the military can effortlessly move to other forms of effective attack if the missiles run too low.
Surely we didn’t plan a war from start to whatever results at the end, dependent entirely on missiles.
Except for one thing- The new congress doesn’t come in until Jan 2027. After the election the CIC has free rein until January, whichever party takes over the Congress. The Iranians are idiots to think a change in party will help them, it will be worse for them, because a lame duck President will do anything and everything to take them out. Hack Jeffries and Schmuck Schumer will have no power of any type until January.

Still irrelevant to what I am trying to post, our military and vast arsenal of weapons is basically unused at this point, I hope the entire plan wasn’t a powerful country beaten using only missiles.
Why this focus only on missiles, what are the other paths to the goals and when do they come into play if this missile shortage is so critical?

I’m sure we have weapons that have never been used, along with nukes.

This is not even a full scale, sustained conflict. If we are “running out of weapons” from these minimal actions, someone needs to explain what all of that money has been spent on the last decade or so. We should have a large surplus.Most sensible comment so far!

The U.S. stockpile of 7th-generation, high-tech, and "smart" armaments is being depleted... while the Soviet Russian supplies of such basics as fuel, tanks, warships, and soldiers are being blown to Kingdom Come!
