President Trump’s war against Iran has depleted U.S. weapons stockpiles to troubling levels, siphoning supplies from Asia and Europe, according to senior officials.
The rapidly shrinking supply of air-defense missiles and other critical weaponry in Europe and Asia not only leaves the U.S. military less equipped, but could also leave Russia and China feeling emboldened should they contemplate a potential conflict with the United States, experts said.
Bombing Iran burned through thousands of multimillion-dollar missiles that contain precision parts from a global web of suppliers and can take years to produce. Defending against Iran’s retaliatory barrages has worn down U.S. stocks of air-defense missiles to an extent that has privately alarmed top officials in the Trump administration and has led to the United States’ delaying deliveries to European and Asian customers.
The Iran campaign has forced the Pentagon to rush ships, aircraft and air-defense units from across Europe and Asia to the Middle East, an effort with cascading consequences for equipment maintenance and troop morale, U.S. officials said. The result is a significant erosion of American firepower in those regions, a shift with long-term implications that are a growing concern in the military and intelligence communities, senior U.S. and Western officials said.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, said the United States has “more than enough firepower to carry out any operation the president orders at any time and place.” But experts say the munitions crisis — part of which Mr. Trump inherited from President Joseph R. Biden Jr. — is almost certain to outlast his presidency.

I remember when Trump repeatedly told us this little expedition would be wrapped up in two weeks, and that we’d already won it. I also remember when Trump said the Iranian nuclear program had been “obliterated” last year.
Now we have a weapons shortage? Wow.

A military has what it has and battle plans should be based on that, perhaps the bigger error is basing war plans on one single form of ammo rather than making your war plans based on a complete picture of the entire military available to you and how to use it as a whole.
I said back in May that Iran just needs to wait this out until November. It’s now August with the US no closer to any kind of victory. All we’ver accomplished is to blow some stuff up. Trump was misled that civilians would be able to overthrow the Mullahs, instead they were just slaughtered and now have no hope of ever ridding themselves of the Iranian caliphate.
Iran has but a mere 12 weeks to just hold out exactly as they have been doing, and in November when the Rats sweep control of the government, they will be free and clear, and hell the Rats will probably even pay Iran reparations after impeaching Trump.

Trump has always been good at limiting political damage when politics go sideways, he changes angles & attacks the problem from a new position.
However, this stupid foreign policy choice without Congressional or the support of the public may be a “bridge too far.”
The President better get moving soon because “time’s a wastin.”
This is not even a full scale, sustained conflict. If we are “running out of weapons” from these minimal actions, someone needs to explain what all of that money has been spent on the last decade or so. We should have a large surplus.
