They funded the anti-war, anti-nuclear and gay marriage movements. Essentially, they struck at the foundation of American culture. I’m sure that one reason Putin is so against the gay movement is he remembers why it was funded. Now Russia is far more vulnerable to the destruction of the family unit than the US is. I have no idea what the Chinese think of the efforts to destroy the family, but their family structures are in free fall, but probably from different causes.
