As the country marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, a new ๐๐๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ survey lands like a gut punch: nearly half of all Americans โ ๐๐% โ donโt know what America 250 is actually celebrating. Among Gen Z, itโs worse: ๐๐% couldnโt say.

Great idea but many school districts wont allow it. There was a teacher shortage in the late 90’s in the state that I lived. One of the proposals was to let your scenario play out. But the PTB said that that was impossible. “How would they know how to teach??” Sure, like most professions dont have some teaching aspect to it and they would also have practical knowledge. They only way they would allow it is if you had a teaching degree which at that time would take 2 years.
So, who is going to waste 2 years getting a worthless degree after they have retired? The left’s mantras of “paying it forward” and “It’s for the children” ring hollow.
And this is exactly what obama wanted when he did what he did to the Department of Education.
When you get really stupid, someone is going to take your lunch money. Or, in this particular scenario, your nation. :(
In my town, public school reading comprehension is 13%, 4% math. In my hometown, both are 0%.
No wonder young people don’t know what America 250 represents. They can’t read or count that high, and have they actually been taught American history?
By the way, both towns produced billionaires in the day from the same schools. It is criminal how far the public schools have declined in much of the country.

“The children” are failing partly because they mistakenly assume that the future does not belong to everyone.
The schools are to busy with teaching kids that America stole the land, Whites are racists, that there are 160 genders, men can get pregnant, straights are homophobes and other BS.

Honestly the first time I saw “America 250” I thought “wtf is that”. Because they didn’t bother to say anything about Independence Day or anything else. Just dropped a word and a number, bad branding, gotta give people context.
