Seas the day.

Plans are being put forward to create the world’s first-ever “floating city,” which would be powered by nuclear energy and have a capacity of 80,000 – dwarfing the finest cruise ships in the world.

Visions of the so-called Freedom Ship have existed since the 1990s, but they have been brought back to life once again – this time under Freedom Cruise Line CEO Roger Gooch, who told the Telegraph, “We feel very confident that we can put this together, but capitalization is key.”

Should it come to reality, the megaship would dwarf anything produced by the likes of Royal Caribbean or Carnival Cruise Line.

A proposed capacity of 80,000 people would dwarf Royal Caribbean’s $2 billion Icon of the Seas, which stands at a maximum of 7,600 guests and 2,350 crew members.

Imagine how many people would be floating after being hit by a major Storm.

Living on land next to salt water is enought maintanence. Boats on salt water, much worse. How do you deal with a couple of tons of barnacles added per year.

Cruising over the top of an erupting underwater volcano could be bucket-list-exciting.

Homeless community. A floating re-education camp. If you don’t recover, burial at sea is the final disposition.

Does anyone see lifeboats for 80,000 people on there? Or is each passenger given his very own inflatable life dinghy?

I’m trying to imagine that ship traversing down the waves in the Roaring 40’s.

A “floating city” is the best way to observe Venus up close. High up in the atmosphere where the pressure and temperature is suitable and oxygen, hydrogen and other useful gases can be harvested from the atmosphere.

Interesting, but what would be more interesting is a price comparison for the same luxury on land verses the ship. It is in reality a city floating about the globe.

1.) Locate at Point Nemo
2.) Make it an offshore leftist “paradise.”
3.) Let the do-gooders pay for it and run it.
